Changing the Future of Oral Health: Education, Patient Care and Research

Welcome to the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. We are a teaching, research, and patient care facility that has reinvented itself in recent years. We are located in one of the most vibrant cities in the world that, like the College, consistently rejuvenates and reinvents itself. Our College and the City of Chicago advance together, and our students and patients benefit. We are the largest dental school in IL with over 530 enrolled students, over 220 faculty including 42 conducting research.
Students
We offer a comprehensive, innovative, diverse and welcoming educational and student life experience to prepare "next-generation" oral health professionals. Programs include the DMD, PhD/DMD, MS in Oral Sciences, Advanced Specialty Certificates, Research training and Externships.
Our academic curriculums are Integrated, problem-based and patient-centered curriculum combining clinical care with research and technology driven innovation. Additionally, community service-learning is incorporated to enrich training, and improve access to care and prevent oral disease in communities of need.
Research
We are a level-1 research institution and the only research-oriented dental college in Illinois. Being anchored within a level-1 biomedical and research university provides ample shared research resources and terrific collaboration opportunities. We have more than 40 faculty performing research and funding of over $5 million annually. We are leading research in oral science to improve care and impact lives beyond the clinic.

The UIC College of Dentistry has a vibrant and dedicated base of over 6,200 alumni who are making an impact in the lives of our students and patients every day through their generous support and connection to the college.
