My new switch still seems stiff when i start it..and touchy.. nothing was forced i aligned the new switch to tumbler.

It could just be the brand-name. Some of the quality of the switches are different if it’s not that just make sure that there isn’t any war out or loose screws or bolts.

Hi, I have a 2006 Durango. it has a parasitic battery drain, over night it's flat dead, I was going to try the ignition switch next. it's been a progressive issue that's gotten worse. Have you ever encountered this?

Yes, on the cars after around 2004. It is called a body control module or a BCM when this module starts failing you see it controls everything electrically throughout the vehicle so it can make your security system go off for no reason or your headlights damn for no reason and it can even make, your door chime, go off and make a funny sound like a Morse code on a walkie-talkie. It’s very hard to explain but you will swear that your car is haunted but in fact, it’s the BCM module that is definitely worth a try. 👍

Thanks bud. Very detailed and informational. Very much appreciated. My wifes ignition cylinder is not allowing us to find the turn off position causing the battery to die so i was looking to replace the cylinder and ignition switch. Any suggestions for me?

Just depends on what car you’re doing it for, usually usually takes a couple hours but it’s not really that bad of a job. Sure beats I’m plugged in the battery every time you get home.
