so rockin! I was in the marines when this was going on and got out in 84 at 20 years old, and was able to jump into the so Cal scene and got to see and play with most of the legendary bands, but never saw or played with these bad ass Kats. so this is a treat to see what they were like live.

There was something really special about the first 6 or 7 years of the California punk scene that I don't think compares to that of any other era or location... just a nonstop eruption of creativity coming from those countless kids who made up the scene. Most of my favourite records to this day came out of it: CH3's After the Lights Go Out, the Middle Class LP, the second Alley Cats LP, the first Crowd record, everything the Salvation Army / Three o'Clock did pre-1985, the posthumous Cheifs compilation album, Legal Weapon's Death of Innocence and Your Weapon, the Hell Comes to Your House comp, Red Scare's LP... there's honestly way too many to count.
