Nice little tour. I certainly envy your being able to access such places and learn about history this way. I’m American but I’ve always wanted to live in Europe for this reason . I would be filling my retirement now with such journeys but I’m glad to be able to see through your eyes. Safe travels.

did you make it back to Jersey to revisit the castle ? it is quite steep inside as it circles its way up to the top. inside you would find German MG positions and PAK platforms. the footage you took from the exterior shows 2 towers that the Germans built observation platforms in (9:49 top left hand side of the screen). there is also a deep well inside and a church. there is various exhibition and historical pieces with in too. when you get to the very top, you will have a view of the Minquiers and the coast of France. I also noticed you published this on the 8th of May, was you in Jersey on the 9th ? as that is when we celebrate the liberation of the island from German occupation.

Unfortunately, at the time I visited (it must have been March) the castle was closed. I need to come back to Jersey and to videotape all these beautiful places with my new camera and to create better quality videos...
