Great to see LSV's perspective on the new cards, wish I had seen the video sooner ! I just went 7-1 my first Friendly Amonkhet Draft League (on MTGO) with a Green/Black -1/-1 counters deck. My first pick, first pack was Decimator Beetle as there were no truely good mono-colored cards in the pack (the rare was Disposses). Overall, I was quite happy with how the deck handled itself, even without a single "true Limited bomb". I got lucky on 2 of my wins and lost that 1 match partially due to misplays. The deck that beat me had a lot in common with this deck by LSV - it was a crazy All-In Cycling deck with more than 1 of each of Horror of the Broken Lands + Faith of the Devoted + Cartouche of Ambition. Very interesting deck to see in action and play against !

Lay Claim cycles for 2. Cycling, Morph, Evoke, etc lower the curve.

I agree, any advice should at best be 'taken with a grain of salt'. It seems that a fair portion of players can only see how to build decks in certain ways. At least until they have it laid out for them, and then they act like they've invented the wheel from scratch.

the best cycling creatures are black, the color with the most cyclers is blue that is the only certain way to build

How so? If he had 3 evolving wilds, should he run 20 lands or 18/19? Fixing is nice, but you still need to find relevant action in a timely manner.

because if you fetch you have even less mana sources in your deck, so going down to 15 would be counterproductive.

Anyone else notice how few good or even playable green cards we saw throughout the draft? I get the feeling that it's going to be incredibly over drafted similar to amonkhet. Anyone with experience with drafts so far seen this? Like I probably would have taken Charioteer second pick and would have been horribly punished for it.

Green is very strong: Strong creatures, cartouche that comes with built in removal and ramp.
