Thanks for your video. Having a real size mock up is very useful to see the impact of the build and I wish you well.

Many Thanks Steve. I was having a hard time imagining how big it would be hence the stick build. I thought it worked well too. It wasn't happy with the wind blowing though!

Getting there slowly! But there is no rush, the stars will be there next week (and the clouds probably!!)

It is Jonathan bit at a time and like you said, no rush.....The clouds don't seem to be going anywhere at the moment. Good old UK weather! Wish you clear skies mate!

Hey Nigel. Hope your well mate. Luke hasn't messed around at all with his build, it shot up, It looks great. To be honest I had this build on the brain 6 month ago when I moved in. A lot of work as the whole back garden is getting a do over.

Sorry to hear you and the family have Covid - hope you all recover quickly. How exciting to be building an observatory - will make a hug difference to your imaging time. Looking forward to seeing how the build progresses. In the meantime, take it easy and recover.

Hey Logan. They all good now thank you. The little lad was our worry. He only has quarter lung capacity so even a little cold knocks him side ways let alone COVID, bless him, he's fine though. It will be nice to see the finished result on the build when it gets there. Want to have it for big projects really and still do smaller rigs and DSLR stuff....my big astro plans for future. Take care mate and Clear Skies!

Hey Ben! - Really cool to see the layout of how this is going to be built mate, I can't wait to see the construction developing and really taking shape - exciting times ahead! I really do hope you are all feeling better now by the way mate, and if you're not all 100% yet then I wish you a speedy recovery! 🙂 Sorry it took me a while to get round to this one, I kept meaning to watch it but I've been sidetracked about a million times now lol! All the best, Luke

Hey Luke You got loads going on at the moment so don't worry, Im in the same boat, trying to catch up with other channels with everything else going on. Thanks very much though for finding the time to watch, it is much appreciated mate. Your build is looking super by the way and can't wait to see it all done. Take care buddy!

Hello Ben. Best wishes to the family and I hope covid passes real soon👍🏻 . That observatory should be a nice size for you and these things take time. I shall look forward to your build content and new videos. Now all I have to do is convince the little lady if I can have one too lol. Getting on a bit to keep lugging it all out 🤷🏼♂️👍🏻😂. Keep well bud and clear skies.

Hey Rob. Many Thanks mate! If I can get the pier and platform done in the next couple of month then I will be happy. Yeh my back seems to be going alot lately and the rig keeps gaining weight so it makes sence. It was on the cards anyway. Im sure you can persuade her with a good reason to build one. Take it easy and wish you both all the best.

Hi Ben, hope you get better soon mate! Interesting video, I hear you on the being reined in part!! I’m in a similar position where I’ve finally persuaded my wife to ‘talk’ about me building an observatory 😀 Lots more to talk about, but it could be on the cards! Looking forward to seeing your observatory in the future 👍 Clearly skies

Hey there Simon. Yes we struck a compromise shall we say. The trick was start really big then bring the dimentions down. It then seems like it's much smaller and the other party thinks they got their own way haha! They are quite intrusive I think, espesialy if you don't have much space to play with. Hope your negotiations go well mate. To be honest I looked at every design I could think of to try get the best fit. Jeannine agrees with most things but I did get carried away to be fair. It's the support beams that are the main issue for us. Take care mate and Thanks!

Great to see you Ben. Don’t pressure yourself dude Astro and your subscribers will still be here mate. Can’t wait to see your bud mate. Give Luke a shout as his build is the fastest I’ve ever seen. Any help I can offer (in advice) please don’t hesitate to ask mate. Clear skies

Hey Glenn, Cheers mate. Yeh Luke did not mess around there. It looks really nice. I took your advice on a thicker pier hence 280mm but will ask if needed, thanks for the offer. Take care mate!

Nice one Ben I'm so pleased you're building yourself an observatory, if I'd known sooner I have a couple of tracks here you could have had as I were originally going to build one with a roll on roll off roof but the dome came up on eBay super cheap so a no brainer really. Wishing you all a speedy recovery & clear skies!!
@CosmuzzAstro2 жыл бұрын
Oh thank you....never mind. To be honest im looking at getting some rubber/ plastic coated runners to minamise noise. I was looking at the dome route as well along with different designs to see what would be best. Take it easy and thanks again!

Thank You very much Jim Think I was lucky out of the whole family and only got it mild. Still, it's made me really exhausted. Hope you are ok after it mate and the family is well. On a positive note i'm really looking forward to the build, and glad vyou are too, however not looking forward to the bank balance but it will be worth it in the end I think. Take care and clear skies!
