This won't explain it, but it may help: I can't remember who it was, but one of his comedy mates rang him when he was in palliative care, apparently; and asked him how it was. And he replied something along the lines of "Not too bad. And the s*x is amazing". Look up the original story online with that info as a basis for search if you wish. That interaction told me everything I needed to know about why he was so awesome

While I don't believe in an afterlife I can still offer respect in remembrance of a really great comedian and human being. For those who do not know, he was big on charity as well. My thoughts mainly go out to his family, who I hope are doing well.
