When someone described the wall of death to me, I got the impression that it was “A raised cylindrical platform, 27 feet high, with a circle on top which the people stand on, which has a tripwire around it, and bikers ride motorbikes straight up the outer walls at a 90 degree angle (somehow) and do wheelies in front of the spectators, which gives them a thrill. Then the bikers fall backwards onto the ground (on their bikes). But they are okay.” Not a lowered cylindrical platform where the bikers ride at a 0 degree angle on the inner walls.

Left hand throttle is tradition for the original Indian Motorcycles.

Not a tradition at all. It was made that way so you could shoot a gun with your right hand.

I've met this guy before, well actually I met him with my own eyes today. I went to the Wall of Death and I called him "the crazy guy" because he did lots of tricks. He even winked at me when I gave 50p in. (Not much but yeah)

Guy Martin...living proof that being BiPolar has it's bright side.
@thetruth4188 жыл бұрын
+- RunningWithScissors - What are you talking about? I'm not sure if you were joking but if you weren't link your source. Martin isn't Bi Polar and I've never seen this in print before in my life. Link your source.

+The Truth Watch a number of his interviews. He certainly shows all the signs of the Manic side of being BiPolar, including: Symptoms of a manic episode may include: Feelings of euphoria, abnormal excitement, or elevated mood Talking very rapidly or excessively Needing less sleep than normal, yet still having plenty of energy Feeling agitated, irritable, hyper, or easily distracted Engaging in risky behavior It's harder to tell about the depressive side, since he wouldn't be doing any interviews when depressed.

He's not bipolar, he's just a record-breaking motorcyclist, which requires being just a little bit wrong in the head to accomplish. Please don't claim him as bipolar until a medical professional has done so. We don't need misinformation and rumours being spread around about a genuinely decent celebrity.
@-runningwithscissors-97668 жыл бұрын
From Guy's website: "If it’s not a challenge to life, limb and sanity, then he’s just not interested." Adrenaline Junkie or Bipolar = Same Same, meaning there is a direct correlation between them. Google it. Read his autobiography and "When You Dead, You Dead" by him. It's 2016 and bipolar is quite fashionable these days...no longer any stigma attached to it. My original post wasn't a slam against him, rather just an observation based on my interactions with people I've known that were diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.

- RunningWithScissors - your claim: "Guy Martin...living proof that being BiPolar has it's bright side." Is totally without foundation. With actual BiPolar people the highs are matched by the lows. There's nothing in any of Guy Martin's behaviour or the reporting of his behaviour that even suggests he suffers such lows. Indeed there's evidence to the contrary. He's said publicly that he's happiest when he's fixing trucks. He's fastidious and thorough in everything he does. Actual BiPolar sufferers experience lows that prevent them from functioning, to the extent they feel suicidal. There's zero evidence that Guy suffers any such conditions. But I understand why you might assume he's BiPolar. I have LLI (Low Latent Inhibition) and I can become highly focused on my topic. But although I'm bored by anything average, I don't suffer deep depressions, nor am I EVER suicidal. However, my former American sister in law, who's father IS BiPolar, made the same amateur and ill informed assumption as you - about me... but never to my face!:) I no longer have Guy Martin's energy, not sure I ever did. But I have worked 18 and even 30 hour days. Plus I design in my head all the time. Look up LLI and stop making amateur assumptions based upon limited information.
