Families of Israeli hostages demand more is done to ensure their return after six months of war

Six months of war have devastated Gaza, and there seems to be no end in sight.
Although delegations from Israel and Hamas are in Cairo for talks aimed at reaching a truce, both sides are holding firm on their demands.
More than 33 thousand Palestinians have been killed and 75 thousand injured since the war began, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
While in Israel, the families of those still held hostage are growing frustrated by what they say is a lack of action by their government.

For more than 20 years Israelis voted in power a government that constantly did war crimes, was constantly accused of human rights violations, a government that unlawfully imprisoned children, that sexually asaulted detenees, tortured them and killed thousands of innocents in places where hamas wasn't even present. For 20 years almost no one protested, almost no one complained and this government was kept in power democratically. Why is that? Because they weren't the ones to suffer. You can live beside a concentration camp for 75 years and then wonder why the people kept in that concentration camp strike out? I don't think we get at the problem in our media and political discourses, because we Brits are overly obsessed with technocratic issues - with testing political and factual arguments, and with the technical military and legal questions, all of which are distractions. When you see the whole problem, you see exactly what I have just said - that the whole problem is our social conditioning as a Jew, an Israeli, an Arab, a Palestinian and so forth. As much as those victims of Oct 7 were innocent people, who "died where they danced" I can't help but feel they danced while others suffered. Gaza has never known a real time of peace, or prosperity and has had many innocent people die from 2005 when Israel instituted it's blockade, creating the world's largest Ghetto after quitting the Strip. I also see that those civilians who have died in Gaza SINCE oct 7 have been as equally cruel, inhuman and immoral. Hamas and Islamic Jihad have no obligations, such as a standing army of a State would have, and thus they can 'afford' to BE less than Human in their dealings. The IDF unfortunately IS a standing army of a State and thus HAS obligations under International Law and CANNOT act with the same kind of barbarism. As for ignorance, well, I along with most of the world have watched events unfold in Israel with regards to Gaza and the West Bank these many years, and the treatment of Palestinians by Israel is well documented.
