The prisoners held in Israel are there due to crimes on different scales, from knife stabbing, stone throwing or more serious offences like killing civilians in terror attacks. The hostages held in Hamas in Gaza are mostly civilians that were taken from their beds, some are either 1 year old baby, 4 year old child, as well as elderly aging 80+ year or so.
