I have so many comments for you here haha. First, I like the let's play and I think over two episodes is great. So a few things to help you in the future: You had snap to position off for your benches which is why they wouldn't snap. The power distribution only works if the yellow circle is touching the operators box on coasters. Available power says how much power is still available I believe, you might have to check me on that one. When you are looking at the income for the day, you have to expand the income and expenses to see the details of where your money is coming in and going out. Heatmaps are useful for seeing where the guests are that are hungry, thirsty, etc. Creating work zones for your staff helps them stay in a specific area of the park so they focus on certain rides. You can create staff schedules that tell your staff what tasks they should be focusing on throughout their shift so that could be helpful for you. Scenery sadly does not have as much as an impact on park rating overall. It will draw guests to your shops and rides to help you earn income from what exists. The more flat rides, coasters, flumes, and pools you have the higher your park rating goes along with fulfilling guest needs. If your notification no longer applies then it won't take you to building. So when it said it couldn't reach loony balloons you had originally placed the shop off the path and that's why it gave you that notification, but then when you had it on the path that notification was no longer relevant. Pricing is important for all shops and rides. I usually start any park with a low rating on a bargain which is one the options in the drop down at the top of the pricing tab which seems to help get my park started a lot of the time in career mode. Also difficulty on medium is still pretty tough but a lot less difficult than what I just witnessed haha. If you want to shorten the length spent in each level, I would suggest doing medium. I hope that helps and if you need more tips feel free to reach out. I am in discord and frequently watch your videos. You're doing great!

@@ScarletLunarLove appreciate all the pointers. Many of the things you listed I started to learn on my own as I get more familiar with the career mode. Was just overwhelming at first. The benches were actually tables which is why they weren’t snapping by haha. I replaced them later! Going forward I will be playing easy difficulty so I can focus on being creative and less on micro managing. That way these become more of a let’s build rather than a let’s play.

@Channel5Gaming I totally understand! It took me a few levels to figure everything out too. I do wish the tutorial was a little more comprehensive in the beginning, but I like learning through experience too. I look forward to seeing the future episodes!

im a fan of the coaster builder in planet coaster 2. much much more user friendly then the first one. i also love that i can literally change track layouts without having to redo much of anything, i can just push it around to how i want it. id say im much more comfortable creating coasters now then i was in the first planet coaster which would take hours sometimes trying to get it to do what i wanted.

When I was doing this scenario using the radial menu to autocomplete the track worked well on the first two coasters. The last one was more work. Love the content!

I agree that the retail ravers advertisement campaign was so confusing. I spent so much time custom building scenery to make them pretty. They were making a profit, but I still didn't meet the requirements. I had three of each, but eventually realized that since they were not in the same scenery group, they didn't count. I eventually added a blueprint that made it work. I was playing easy mode too.
@mgunterАй бұрын
Technically there should be 2 because the end brakes and lift hill count as a block section.
@dylanwatts9344Ай бұрын
For the end of the coaster, loop it the other way. Down, wrap to the right and lift, into the breaks (crossing over the down), into the station.

The worst thing in this campaign was the wording for the retail ravers objective. It took me forever to realize you need 3 gift shops, 3 food shops and 3 drink shops to then be able to run a retail ravers advertisement .....

I finished this scenario yesterday. Seeing you struggle on that 3rd incomplete coaster makes me feel better. 😂 I also connected it wrong the first time. For my first custom coaster, I did a looping one that winds around the first wooden coaster. Hard mode doesn't make the objectives any tougher, I think it just affects guest generation, money, etc. I had the same objectives playing on Medium. I also play on XBOX, and pathing isn't hard on that. People saying pathing is difficult need to figure it out because it's great. The staff management needs fixed, especially mechanics. They won't automatically inspect rides. That's my biggest complaint. I think you should spend a few episodes on each scenario. It took me several hours to do this one, but I never had to take out a loan because I let my cash build up.
@Channel5GamingАй бұрын
yeah going forward into the next level im already about 3-4 episodes deep and still havn't finished the gold objective yet. So we're going to be taking our time going forward! :)

One possible explanation for your power mystery. I heard somewhere that if you do not have enough generators of your own, it takes the required power off the public grid at a fee and this happens through the entrance. No way I can confirm this though. Pretty fun to see the campaign in action, and you getting confused over it 😂
@funspace9844Ай бұрын
The campaigns definitely need a lot of time to finish. I play them also on hard but since i don’t have to record i can take my time and with that the levels are actually not that hard. And Frontier could have definitely done better with the phrasing of the requirements for the advertisement. They just meant that you have to place 3 food shops, 3 drink shops and 3 gift shops. They don’t have to be together. Had to figure out the hard way😂😂 Anyway keep up with the Let‘s Plays they are AWESOME😁😁😁
@Channel5GamingАй бұрын
glad you're having fun! Going forward , i'm going to play on Easy and be more creative. Seems like the campaign is going to be a big time investment, so i've decided it's time to take it slow and we finish when we finish even if it takes all of 2025! :P

I think part of the issue with your income is that you are not adjusting the prices of the rides after opening. Also you can set the prices to dynamic which creates a price range for the ride based on queue time.
@Channel5GamingАй бұрын
Yeah, I could have probably increased prices a bit. But I found out later increasing prices on Hard mode is more likely to cause guests to refuse to pay. I later came to the conclusion that hard mode is just a time sink and easy or normal allows us to be more creative on future scenarios :)

@Channel5GamingАй бұрын
those were actually tables >
@prcupine9066Ай бұрын
I took longer than I wanted on this scenario. I didn’t take out that many loans though and let it play out to earn money. Which you absolutely need to adjust the price of every ride when it opens or you won’t be profitable. First thing: Johnny please read more carefully!!! 😂😂 The advertisement requirements said “CREATE a scenery piece WITH (lists shops)” You need to make a building with all three shops in it. You must build it yourself. You cannot use a blueprint. The power is very confusing. The number tells you how much you have LEFT. You weren’t using anything from that generator because you already had a surplus. The park gates generate electricity and were powering a majority of the park. It doesn’t matter if the power source is far away (unless the ride specifically mentions it requires extra power that must be in the vicinity). As they wear down the generators get condition penalties where they can’t produce as much power as they once did. So having a power surplus is a good thing. You can see condition penalties under maintenance. Refurbishments: It might be the difficulty but I think they need to balance how fast things degrade. However I’ve only played career so far. Under the “Maintenance” tab there is a bar at the top that indicates the condition of the ride. It starts at 100 and the longer it runs and more people ride it the bar goes down. An expired service badge only means it’s no longer at 100% but you don’t need to do anything about that yet. Mechanics service them and they regain little bits. So maybe you go from 43% to 65% after a service. Emergency Refurbishment is the only way to get it back to 100%. If you never refurbish it then mechanics basically need to service it every couple minutes to prevent a breakdown. This is why I think it could use balancing. They want you to refurbish a ride like every in game day. Love your videos! Keep playing and you’ll figure it out. Hang in there!!

Also.... Your Hopper coaster was not connected to the paths so was unreachable. You can tell by the rails still closing off the path and queue so it was not making any money since no-one could ride it.

The guest services shop at the start of the park doesn't have a staff member working it, so it's closed. So many loans, just let the park run and generate money normily. Whenever you get an alert that a ride has lost it;s badge and is degrading, is when you want to emergency call a mechanic to that ride. The worse condition the ride becomes, the more it will cost to recondition that ride.
