The Oasis coaster is good enough to build! This park is highly creative, fantastic work

Those block sections made me laugh. Could write a dissertation and ride a rollercoaster at the same time xD

Very well done park layout and variety of rides. Loved all of the coasters, but the overly long lift hills on "Soaring Eagle" and "Death Valley" are what gave them the red excitement rating.

Ahhh that makes sense, thanks for the tip. I tried to add scenery to make them more bearable but that obviously doesn't effect the excitement

Watching your video driving the car, the trick is to decelerate as you enter the turn and then accelerate as you leave the turn., Awesome page.

Notice the clock at the entrance to the western expansion shows high noon. WHERE IS MCREE HIDING!?!?
There is a huge misconception that the graphics settings play a huge role in the FPS that the game can display at. You can test it yourself John, switch from Ultra to lowest in any mega park. The FPS between the two is negligible (at least on my computer). The lag comes from the CPU usage because of all it has to keep track of; the physics for all the rides/coasters as well as keep track of every individual guest/employee and their wants and needs. This is truly where the lag comes from. I notice he has a bunch of coasters but only two flat rides in addition to capping the guest count at 1k, this is why the FPS is so high in this park in comparison to Emerald Gardens (your last park spotlight). As for the park. The theming is very nice, the teraforming is top notch and very realistic. The coaster track layouts are good, maybe they could use some more banking/smoothing in spots. But aidenj20002, if you are reading this, I have two points of constructive criticism; 1) use some of that well developed theming on the coaster stations as most of the are bare and 2) learn how to use the block brake systems so your coaster stations don't have to be super long and you can run 2 to 3 trains flawlessly. They won't stack at the station this way either or have long wait times on the sections within the layout. Over on Silvarret's channel, has a planet coaster college series and he has a video on block brakes, if you have some free time go check it out. Otherwise, nice job.

While you are right the game does rely on CPU quite heavily. The ultra settings compared to low make a pretty huge impact on texture rate and level of detail distance rates, as well as shadows and occlusion. All those things added up on a big map will make a 20fps difference on ultra or low detail. The reason the difference may be negligible on your PC, is you GPU may not push all the settings while checking on high or ultra. Even if you manually change it all to high, your GPU may not actually be capable of displaying certain settings to their true potential of which a GTX 1080 ti would. For me, i've tested the difference of Ultra vs Low detail on over 300 creations now, and I can certainly say the FPS is effected by aspects of the GPU.

I have a beast of a computer I bought specifically for Planet Coaster. It's got an i7-7700 quad core 3.6Hz (4.2GHz turbo), NVidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, with 16 GB RAM at 2400MHz. I also have a monitor with 120Hz. I got this computer before the 1080 ti card was released, but I'm not sure it would have made that much of a difference anymore over the one I currently have. I have a mega park that I have over 300 hours in with 11 coasters, 4 track rides, and well over 20 flat rides. I have over 80k objects placed between scenery and building pieces so far as well. The park is about 80% done. I never capped the guest count until recently either. I still play with about 5 - 8k guests depending on the ambient day temperature. If you look at some of my screen shots you will see guest counts above the 12k range. Here is a link if you don't believe me - steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198368418301/screenshots/?appid=493340 - Some of the picture may have some varying graphics quality when I was experimenting before I settled with my current settings. I play on custom settings that were taken from Ultra with about 15 to 20 FPS, the only different between my custom setting and ultra settings is I turn down the water quality to high instead of ultra and the lens flair is set to low, otherwise its the exact ultra settings. When I turn it to the lowest graphics settings, it is only about a 3 - 5 FPS better and the game looks like crap. So I play on my custom ultra setting. Sometimes I build on pause for the higher FPS (30 -35 FPS) or deal with it. GameFace, a live streaming channel has to show people in his streams fairly often that a high caliber graphics card is not what limits the FPS in his mega park as he runs dual GTX Titan cards. I have seen other heavy weights in the Planet Coaster community show differences between low and ultra as well. In fact, you are one of the few that still believe the graphics is the biggest reason for slow down. Have you ever check your CPU usage while running a mega park? Mine is consistently over 75% and spikes in the 90s. That alone equals lag...

You should do fireworks on Tuesday, July 4 plus your normal parks/rides/coasters
@Channel5Gaming7 жыл бұрын
I would love too, However this contest is eating up all my time atm. Fireworks is something I was thinking would be nice for a video, and July 4th would be a great day for that video, I just don't think I can manage the time. :(

30:08 - Anyone know the name of the song that's playing here? Is it part of the Planet Coaster soundtrack? Because I *LOVE* it and really wanna hear it on it's own. ♥ Edit: Tried to find it using Shazam on my phone, but some douchebag has been rigging music so you can't find source songs.

Its sad that the guy who made this took a lot from the workshop and didn’t build something himself. It’s not really his work is it
