Actually, I did buy that Sokka was one of the councilmen, he's always been about strategies that require thinking outside the box to come up with, and without a war going on he wouldn't really have much to do as a warrior so he built up one of his weaknesses being his speech, as you recall in the invasion episode before the battle begun he already felt like he failed simply because he could not give a speech in public.

Kinda wished that we got more Sokka flashbacks, like maybe we could've had a flashback of when Zaheer tried to kidnap Korra as a child.

Justin Deliwe Why not? Sokka was a great character in The Last Airbender and we only get 1 flashback of him in Korra. Zuko, Katara, and Toph on the other hand get multiple appearances.

Metalbending is not something all earthbenders learn; even in Korra's time metalbending is still a very specialized skill that requires years of training outside of normal earthbending training.

Chad Vermillion She DID train; it was off screen, though. But she's the Avatar, making her access to the elements a bit easier. That's not saying she didn't have to work at it, but the work (with the exception to air) was a bit easier for her to grasp. Look at easily Aang caught on to waterbending, even more so than Katara. I think the time wasn't devoted to seeing her progress with metal because of the time and budget limitations thd creators had AND because her learning it wasn't as pressing as Aang learning the elements because of Sozin's comet. Just my thoughts.

Anju Singh I don’t think so. At least how I understood it was that the box was metal and she could not metalbend at the time bc she had not yet met and learned from Suyin. I think you’re confusing it with the platinum handcuffs the Red Lotus uses on her in S3.

I think the buildup was more to show he was unstoppable than to show there would be a confrontation. Kind of the opposite direction, really - she was manipulated so easily and saw in the past how powerful blood-bending was, yet this man somehow took down the blood-bender himself. She knew she had no chance of winning, so she fled. I was satisfied because I wasn't expecting a fight, I was wondering how the hell she would escape.

At the time of the Last Airbender: Aang was 12 or 112 depending on how you want to count Toph was 12 Katara was 14 Azula was 14 Ty Lee was 14 Sokka was 15 Mai was 15 Zuko was 16

I saw someone say that Amon let her go, they didn’t need to have her knocked out in the first place, he just needed a reason to let her escape. It’s even more obvious when he just stops running after her. (I’m not insulting anyone I didn’t realize this without someone else telling me either.) On why he lets her go, I have no idea but I assume one of the reasons is for her to deliver the message that the Equalists didn’t kidnap her.

Things get better and better. I can slowly takes back some of my criticism for the start of the show. They build on the supernatural mythos and add something to it. Korra start to become the avatar. She still lacks character developpement but at least she is not just some bender anymore. I've notice that Tenzin hasn't shown its bending abilities yet. If I am not mistaken. I hope they are building it for a big pay off. There is no airbending in show (except the kids and flashbacks) so a badass Tenzin moment would be cool at some point. I am a bit scared that the show is gonna end in a world without bending for some reason... I would not like that. Well, i am way more hopefull and into it since two episodes.

I thought Korra would be jealous Of Asymi but she's fine with Asymi it was ironic Asymi was jealous of korra when she found out how worried mako was about korra after she got kidnapped and especially after she found out about the kiss she begins to resent Korra even though korra has been nice to her.

Leanna Sullender But it was justified. She had to watch her boyfriend (screw Mako. He was dating her because she was rich) worry about Korra being missing to point of obsession and watch painfully as he showed attention, tenderness, and care to a girl he claimed was nothing more than a friend. He's the absolute WORST character in the entire series (both ATLA and LoK), and he needed the most development and growth, but didn't get it. I also wished that Korra or Asami (possibly both) had called him out on his crappy behavior sooner because he cheated on and lied to both of them. He's a terrible boyfriend, and has little to no redeeming qualities, imo (outside of being a decent detective, an ok brother, and capable fighter). Sorry for the long, rambling rant on him, but he SUCKS! After all of that, I wouldn't have blamed her for turning traitor, but I'm oh so thankful she didn't. I'm actually glad the writers didn't take that route of having Korra and Asami fall out over a guy, especially considering all of the other cliched tropes. I thought it was refreshing that they became friends. EDIT: After rewatching and analyzing the series a bit more, Mako DOES have growth and improvement, and I absolutely appreciate it. I was blinded by the way he handled the relationships and lack of communication. Some people are simply that way, but he DOES get better. ^_^

What? I appreciate the fact there are laws and rules to this universe. You on the other hand seem to not care at all. You can't bend pure metal in the Avatar universe, that's why metal benders can't bend themselves out of platinum cages etc. That's why I commented what I did, maybe that went over your head. Amon couldn't chase her because as we know at the end he is a waterbender. Howewever, in that time nobody knew that (both Korra and equalists). Korra just ran away using her waterbending, so if Amon went after her he could just exposed himself as a waterbender!
