This feat cannot be considered an exploit on the part of the Nigerian Army. The Governor of Benue state had come out to say he invited the bandit to surrender and be granted amnesty. So he was on his way to surrendering in the company of the local government chairman. Where were security agents when he was freely operating with those weapons? Nigerians would have applauded this if it was done in the heat of the acts.
