Please do not say "Islamically" if you are not a Scholar. As a Student of Knowledge in Islam, Per say, No one has a reserved seat in a mosque, it is on a first come basis. The Imam place is not contested, because he leads, so his place will be kept until he comes and if he does not or he delegated, then the "deputy" or whoever is more learned leads. Maybe you meant Muazzin (person that calls for prayer), and even he does not have a space, he stays anywhere behind the Imam. Note: I do not know both persons, I do not know anything about Nigerian Politics or issue of security, But Islamically to reserve a seat for anyone in a mosque is wrong.

I hope power is not getting into Adeleke's head. In the first place Adeleke is a christian, he's an elder in a white garment church, what was he doing there? Secondly he got late there while prayer was on because there was no protocol ahead of the Governor because they didn't know he was coming to the prayer ground. And to add insult into injury he ordered one of the hoodlums in his entourage to ask the Commisioner of police to arrest a former Senator who supposedly sat where he the governor was going to pray, that to me was outrageous, to just ask the police to arrest somebody who did nothing to warrant that. Why is Nigeria a lawless country? why is there no due process in place? Regrettably, some of the people commiting crime or power show are people who lived for several years in Britain, France and America where due process is followed. In the US where Adeleke lived for years a governor cannot order the police to arrest someone because you think that person disrespects you. Nigeria, Nigerians have a long way to go.
