@Ab Kugblenu. Are you sure that is not what Kotoka capacity is? A quick Google search says Kotoka served 3,1 million passengers in 2019. In 2020, understandably because of covid, it served1.1 million.

Well, I hope it won't be build and forget, until it rots away and falls apart. Also, a modern airport like this should have 24/7 power supply. I doubt they have that. Solar+wind, together with LFP batteries, or even ultracaps, would ensure round the clock power availability. Furthermore, the old terminal does not have a PA system. I hope this new terminal does. You will be at the airport, your flight time will pass, and nobody would announce to let you know what is going on. Even if you ask at the desk, they look at you like you're crazy. The airport terminal also needs a flight display board. These are basic things that any decent airport has. But a whole Abuja airport lacks it. So shameful. Finally, I hope they won't be having people still lifting heavy baggage upstairs, without elevators and escalators, like they do currently.

Why does smaller projects like this requires da presence of Nigeria's president ...when bigger projects like the full un-interrupted electrification of Nigeria should be worked on day and night by da ministry and president Buhari himself ?? nik muhammed 26 portharcourt airport is also there. Very beautiful as well, was commissioned if am not mistaken like 5months ago. U can check on utube. We are waiting for d Lagos airport which I think it's near completion already . It's just by d side of d old airport but I don't know why it's not open yet.
