He was in that chicken stop after having a hard time being back in Chicago, and that woman was saying it's the new Kanye West music video and then asked for money. It felt sad during the documentary because he was trying to make it and struggling, but when it was on the music video it felt funny.

@GB-np4pi2 жыл бұрын
I cannot wait for you to discover some of his best music. Just like the documentary gave context to The College Dropout, each Kanye album has significant context required to fully understand them. Here's a list of my favorites 808's & Heartbreak - After his mother passed away (he blamed himself for it) and his fiance allegedly cheated on him, this album was born out of pure emotion. It absolutely changed the sound of rap music, introducing emotion, vulnerability, melody, and autotune to the mainstream hip hop fans. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Post-2009 VMA's where he interrupted Taylor Swift, the entire world hated him. He went on a self-imposed exile to Japan and later to Hawaii, and almost killed himself because of the hate he was getting. This album HAD to be great, or his career and life was over....(spoiler alert: this was consistently voted as the album of the decade so yes, it was great) Yeezus - A mask of bravado and narcissism hiding a broken, vulnerable, frustrated Kanye West. Fresh off the success of MBDTF, he couldn't believe he still wasn't taken seriously in fashion. This album also details how Kim saves "Yeezus" (Kanye) from spiraling in fame. The Life of Pablo - Kanye struggles to find identity now that he's gotten everything he wanted, he's made it in fashion/music and is now married with kids. He asks himself which Pablo he is. Picasso (artist)? Escobar (controversial figure/biggest mover of product or shoes)? St. Pablo (family man devoted to God)? The album is a look into his hectic mind, juxtaposing concepts from each of the 3 identities.

He truly knew that he was destined for greatness , even after multiple reasons to give up and shut down, he still fought to be heard. He was born and raised from the love of his mother, who also believed in him. I understand why others will mistake that for cockiness or arrogance because they may not have had that true genuine love from a parent. But anyways when it’s all said and done, Kanye West is where Kanye West is today because he worked hard and didn’t look for handouts and is a very smart, intelligent individual. ..We are all born with sin, and the punishment of sin is death, but because of how much GOD loved us, HE sent HIS SON JESUS CHRIST to live the perfect sinless life so HE could become the sacrifice for our sins to die for US, and to take all of out sins and to finally cleanse us of that burden setting us free from hell, eternal suffering. All you have to do to accept this free gift is to accept JESUS CHRSIT as your LORD AND SAVIOR, and to repent (turn away from your sins) and to turn to GOD. GOD loves you, and someday I pray you realize that GOD BLESS

I find myself in regret after watching his documentary . 1. Not appreciating his music enough and not trying to understand him. 2. I regret not having the passion and drive that he did! He literally told the world he was coming in a humble , honest and no bullshit way. I now have alot of albums to re listen to. ,🖤

Man, I loved when Kanye was playing this for Pharrell in the studio in the documentary, and Pharrell just started feeling it so much that he immediately broke out in dance. That shows you just how much of a genius song it is, that one of the greats just had to dance(dance is one of highest, purest responses to great music). This song would've went straight to number one, if people saw what Kanye went through and he was famous at the time. Kanye is one in the long line of absolutely gifted black musicians, the ones that changed the face of music at whatever time they were in..

True Kanye fans know Kanye hasn't changed one bit from how he was back then till now. His music has EVOLVED, yes. But as a person he has ALWAYS been the same.

I was lonely 16yo exchange student from Kazakhstan in the middle of nowhere Michigan doing my mandatory community hours in local public library with the bunch of 70yo sweethearts. I remember it was so boring down there that I once borrowed my host brothers iPod and started listening everything from Method Man, Lil Wayne to Jay-Z and when I finally reached Kanye (College Dropout) something hit differently. I didn't know it was him at the time it just resonated. Now I'm 32yo adult man have a wife and three kids back in Kazakhstan living life of ordinary citizen and looking back there was something sacred about those unsophisticated long summer days when I kept Kanye on repeat on my host brothers iPod all day long in that public library

@@soulrayy709 Dude it was the same for me when I heard 808 & Heartbreak in 2008. I was all alone, away from my family in college in a very poor socialist country in East Africa. Kanye's music saved me, it made me realize the bigger things in life. I finished with two degrees in Engineering. I got back with my family, found friends, and live here in the US. Kanye became my 3 big inspirations along with BATMAN and Einstein. and I thank him every day for his song WELCOME TO HEARTBREAK because it's personal for me. Peace and Love bro.
