That’s my daughter and I am proud of her although I was surprised when she told me she was taking her first blacksmithing class. I didn’t approve. She loves it though and she is successful at it. I makes me happy to see her so happy and she has the respect of so many blacksmiths. I’m glad she can make a living doing what she loves.

When i was around 10 i started blacksmithing and it has become an on again off again interest of mine. I sent a letter to Ms. Brim and she sent me back a book of her art and note and i have kept them ever since. Truly a wonderful artist and inspiration.

I took a class at John Campbell Folk School taught by Elizabeth and will never forget the experience. I was just starting blacksmithing and learned so much from her. She is a true artist and a wonderful person to know. Thank you Elizabeth for showing me how to truly love the art of blacksmithing. Thank you Chanse for this excellent glimpse into the life of Elizabeth Brim. Paul @ Creekside Forge

Beautiful work! I love the snake! I too like to make useful or pretty things from "junk metal" Scrapping for it is better than paying for it. especially is it gets me outside getting exercise!

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?
