This is what the Catholic faith should be. We've lost so much in our liturgy today. Can you just imagine hearing this at every sunday mass in your parish? I love the mix of the classic chant with some modern interpretation in the music. See, not everything in the modern world is trash. When done right the old and new can come together and create something special. Thanks Brother, the Lord's blessing is upon you. I can't sing, but for some reason, I can get into chants. I think the simplicity of it helps. It helps the mind too, you're not focused on the music, worrying about hitting an upcoming high note, the music instead focuses you on what it is you're singing about.

Happy Ramadan, Sarfaraz. Ambraham birthed Muslim, Judaism. We have a few of the same books, like the book of JOB in the Koran, Tennauk, and Septuagint. We have different words used, but same root. It is Genesis 17 in a Christian KJV Bible. Judaism then gives way to Christ a decent from the same Earthly father as Ishmael! The creator (our father who made the heavens and Earth) kept his promise gave a virgin a child. (Mary) Jesus is the son of God. Fulfilling the first covenant. (Law: as Kosher & Hallel) He was killed as prophets often are: after healing physical bodies and teaching the baptism of water and forgiveness of our lustful nature. He died, for three days so freed prisoners from death; making a way as (innocence) Truth and life as the first born of resurrection. For all nation's (remember this is about prayer, loving your neighbor, and loving your creator with all your heart, mind, and body.) Our God is not the God of the dead, for ALL live into him! He rose again for 40 days before ascending. (Acts 1) Christ will come again. The Holy and Sacred Spirit is how this can come back to YOU! Stay with me here!!! Needless to say: I Love you and am joyful you also Love God. That similarity is more powerful than what we don't know about our differences. Then Catholic belief blended during the Julian and constantinian empires of Rome. Again... Happy Ramadan. Peace & Blessings to you.

I took this song with me on a back country camping trip. Something about being hours away from civilization and light pollution, no signal, completely at the mercy of nature, watching the milky way through the canopy of pines from my hammock, the gentle breeze, the dancing of fireflies, the echo of loon and wolf calls bouncing across the lake, I could feel Gods presence in all the might, balance, and glory of His creation. I felt no fear, only an unprecedented sense of abundant peace which I have never come close to recreating. One of the most profound experiences of my life. One of the only times I've been brought to tears of gratitude for my existence. I've never taken psychedelics, but I imagine the experience was similar. Thank you for the role you played, thank you. God is with us at all times. Sometimes the veil is thick, sometimes it's thin. I believe you have the gift of thinning the veil.

New 2-hour-Version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpvOfaBpjNWIhac *WHAT ARE THE LYRICS ABOUT?* The prayer "Kyrie eleison" derives from the biblical phrase "have mercy on me, Lord" and is the greek Septuagint translation of the hebrew phrase חָנֵּנִי יְהוָה, which is found often in the Psalms (4:1, 6:2, 9:13, 25:16, 27:7, 30:10, 31:9, 51:1, 86:16, 123:3). In the New Testament, the Greek phrase occurs three times in Matthew: Matthew 15:22: the Canaanite woman cries out to Jesus, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David." (Ἐλέησόν με κύριε υἱὲ Δαβίδ) Matthew 17:15: "Lord, have mercy on my son" (Κύριε ἐλέησόν μου τὸν υἱόν) Matthew 20:30f, two unnamed blind men call out to Jesus, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David." (Ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς κύριε υἱὸς Δαβίδ) Kyrie eleison (Lord/God have mercy). Christe eleison (Christ have mercy). Kyrie eleison (Lord/God have mercy). *WHAT'S YOUR CHANT VERSION ALL ABOUT?* Thank you so much for all of your kind comments. This was the first time for me to publish a prayer that I sing myself. To be honest, it costed me quite an effort, since it’s somehow a pretty intimate thing to do. By that I want to share with you the beauty that can be found at the core of western spirituality, which is unfortunately covered by so many layers of politics, theoretical thought systems and of course bad behavior. Often it seems to me like we completely lost the true meaning and power of the christian spirituality over time, which is to overcome our egoistic nature and spiritual flaws to evolve into a cleansed version of our being, and therefor filled it up with tons of things, that boost the ego instead of understanding the transforming spiritual mystical process we shall go through in our lives. That being said, this chant version is my heartfelt personal expression of that spiritual process: to purify ourselves through prayer, coming closer and closer to the realm of angels and finally be reintegrated into the divine existence of God. Since it seems that you feel this higher dimension in the music too, I am looking forward to record and arrange more personal versions of traditional chants in the future. If you want others to experience this spiritual and mystical music too, please share it and show it to the world. Thank you again and all the best to each one of you, Patrick *IS THIS YOU SINGING?* Yes, I sing all the voices (bass/octavist, main and high), play + produce the music and create the videos all by myself. *WHY DON'T YOU SING THE CHANT IN THE TRADITIONAL WAY?* Simply because it's my personal prayer and interpretation, and the way I receive it. I don't claim to be an expert on chant or choral tradition, nor do I want to continue any musical theory, expertise or musical correctness. There are lots of people out there who are up for these things and superexperts on how things are done, and I love listening to everything they say and learn from them - but this is not my intention with the music. Also, I always admired the octavist singers and bass vocal drones of orthodox chants. I heard them in my inner ear every time when listening to gregorian chant. I feel that it also shows, that these two musical traditions stem from the same spirit and source. If this isn't something for you, I simply recommend to skip and listen to something else :) *WHERE CAN I FIND THE VIDEO'S PICTURE?* stock.adobe.com/at/images/medieval-monk-praying-to-the-holy-god-religion/232751834?prev_url=detail *WHY ARE THERE ADS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VIDEO?* Ads in the middle of a meditation video are super annoying, I completely understand that. My goal is, to show ads only at the beginning or end of the videos. Right now, the ad placing is done by my music publisher and I can not control it myself. I try my best to find a solution for that as soon as possible. *WHERE ARE YOU FROM?* I am a German living in Austria at the moment. *WHY DO YOU PRONOUNCE LATIN LIKE THAT?* While traditional ecclesiastic Latin was recently codified to use the Italian pronounciation, for several hundreds of years Latin pronounciation was highly colored by the nation's language it was spoken in. In Caesar's time there has been a different pronounciation than used in Rome nowadays, and the same goes for many centuries and countries. Since I am a German, I simply use the german pronounciation, which I am used too and grew up with. But first and important of all: to me, chanting is not so much a science, and I don't do it for any traditional reasons: to me, it's a personal prayer and deep expression of my spiritual being. I understand, why a global church would unify it for their liturgical use, but I simply do it the way I feel it and don't have much interest in placing any "general rules" onto such a personal act. *WHY HAS YOUR VIDEO TITLE BAD GRAMMAR?* To reach as many people as possible worldwide, I use the title-translate-function of KZbin in order to show the title to people in their native language. Because I don't speak every language of this planet, I use auto-translation. If the video title has bad grammar, please help me translate it perfectly in your own language and send an email to music@patricklenk.com, please. This will help many people! *WHAT'S YOUR MUSICAL BACKGROUND?* I'm a self learned composer, singer and instrumentalist, who started creating music in his youth. Over time, I looked into many genres of music - but realized more and more that music is a channel to higher realms. Therefor today I am drawn to soundtrack, orchestral, choir, emotional instrumental and sacred music for the most part. *CAN YOU COMPOSE MUSIC FOR MY VIDEO, FILM, SHOW OR GAME?* Generally yes, but it really depends on the project (since I am very selective where I put my lifetime into). To decide, just hit me a message and tell me about your project :)

Ferit Ünaldı Allah is the false god of your false prophet Muhammad!? The father of your prophet his name was : Abdu Allah, which means the slave of Allah. If the father of Muhammad his name was Abdu Allah before Islam, could you tell me how Muhammad’s father knew there was a god named Allah before Islam!!??
@ezgikayi5 жыл бұрын
Allah is never a different god. You know nothing about the history of religion. The name of Allah is the name of the Creator. you say God we say Allah.it's all about it. The prophet Muhammad did not say the name of Allah for the first time. There are also previous prophets. People learned from the prophet Abraham that God's name was Allah. The name of Allah was known ever since. so the name of the prophet's father was abdullah. So Muhammad did not invent it! For example, in the Old Testament, Elohim is the name of God. that is, '' el '' is the name of God, the Christians also believe in the Old Testament. so do the Jews. See what the Hebrew god's personal name is? ''elah''. isra''el '' as in my example.''elah'' and Allah these two names are the same. el and elah name ,in the Old Testament is the name of the Hebrew god. the Arabic equivalent of this name is the name of Allah! Arabic and Hebrew and Syriac languages are related languages. both are Aramaic. in the original language of the bible, which is your holy book, and in the Torah. "eloh". You call Jesus the prophet like God. . so do you say to the father. belief in trinity !! you have three gods. but you think you believe in one god. Jesus is not a god, but a great prophet. Muhammad is not a god. He is only the greatest prophet.the true god is the god you call the'' father''. He has no children! he is not human! he is not a father either. Jesus Christ is only a prophet of God. In the original language of the Bible, the name of God is not God. You should never speak to avoid being ignorant.
@WTA35 жыл бұрын
@Ezgi Kayı First of all, you have a lot of mistakes in your response regarding the name of the True God and the beliefs of the Christian faith. The name of the True God is not Allah, but Yahweh or Jehovah, which means self-Existent or Eternal. In Hebrew is Yĕhovah. God told Moses in Exodus 6:3 “ And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” So the personal name of God is not Allah but YAHWEH or JEOVAH. This is a link for how to pronounce the name in Biblical Hebrew. www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H3068&t=KJV And this is another link to explain how God’s name happened to be pronounced like that. hebrew4christians.com/Names_of_G-d/YHVH/yhvh.html We come now to the word Elohim. Elohim plural in form, signifying not gods but the One true God, who completely possesses all the divine attributes. This word occurs only in Hebrew and no other ancient Semitic language, which includes Arabic. You thought that the word Elohim and its part El, which is the singular form of Elohim, is where the word Allah came from. This is wrong!? What you did is you transliterated the word El into Allah. You thought since the sound of the two words are similar; than the conclusion is that the God’s name is Allah. But it is not as I explained above. I want you to think clearly about this. Since the father of Muhammad was Abdu Allah, who was a pagan worshiper like his wife Amina, and both died as pagan worshipers. Do you think that the name of Muhammad’s father was the name of the True God? Think about it! He died as a pagan not as a Muslim!? So the name of Muhammad’s father was not the name of true God, but the pagan god of Quraysh, Allah the Moon God. This is an abstract from a website that explains why Allah is the moon god that is worshipped by Muhammad and his parents and the people of his time. “The evidence reveals that the temple of the Moon-god was active even in the Christian era. Evidence gathered from both North and South Arabia demonstrate that Moon-god worship was clearly active even in Muhammad's day and was still the dominant cult. According to numerous inscriptions, while the name of the Moon-god was Sin, his title was al-ilah, i.e. "the deity," meaning that he was the chief or high god among the gods. As Coon pointed out, "The god Il or Ilah was originally a phase of the Moon God." The Moon-god was called al- ilah, i.e. the god, which was shortened to Allah in pre-Islamic times. The pagan Arabs even used Allah in the names they gave to their children. For example, both Muhammad's father and uncle had Allah as part of their names.” www.celticorthodoxchurch.com/moon_god_allah.html The word God is an English word that is used to anything that is called god. So the word Elohim is translated God in English and translated ilah in Arabic. The word ilah in Arabic is used to anything that is called god. It is absolutely wrong to transliterate the word Elohim into the word Allah based on sound, because as I said before, the word Elohim has no equivalent in any other Semitic language. In our Christian faith we believe in One God exists in Three Person, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We call Jesus Christ the Son of God not because God took a wife and brought from her a son. This is actually what the Quran says in Surah 6:101 “The Originator of the heavens and the earth! How can He have a child, when there is for Him no consort, when He created all things and is Aware of all things?” This proves that the Quran is not from the True God, because Christians believe that God is Spirit, Eternally existed, and does not need a wife in order to bring a son. The Son of God Jesus Christ called the Son because He is the Word of God, the mind of God, eternally proceeds from the mind of God. You read that Jesus Christ is the word of God in the gospel of John1:1 “ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” So the gospel of John calls Jesus Christ the Word of God and God himself. The nature of God in Christianity is Triune God. The Father is the origin; the Son is the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit the Spirit of God. All the three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, has one divine nature. This one divine nature is the One True God JEOVAH who revealed Himself to Moses and all true prophets before He came in His Son Jesus Christ. Read this link about the Trinity www.billionbibles.com/explain-the-trinity.html

This is so beautiful, it really does feel like a link to the divine, like a rope that you use to pull your mind closer and closer to God. In my tradition, this is called Kirtan, it is the spiritual practice of singing or playing music for God, it is probably my favorite type of music because its transcendental, all the contents of the mind is replaced with the thought of God and the love of God. You are drowning in that divine love and you loose yourself in it, you loose yourself in love as Christ did. 😊

I simply feel thankful for the sharing of this, for the humans who produced this calm piece, and those able to relate to that feeling.

@archelt94963 жыл бұрын
@Rose Algren Don't worry. Not by this comment. I'm an Orthodox Christian and I don't even say Orthodoxies are the true Christian. The true Christians are those who imitate Christ, not those who go to a specific church and listen to different kinds of sermons. Push on, my sister in Christ. You are as able as anyone else to go the divine path shown by Christ. Forgive me if I was rude, I get worked up when differences between churches are mentioned. I despise the schism.

@@lillywiggles8264 It's literally Greek for Lord have mercy. The proof is that I understand the Greek that is spoken in the Divine Liturgy every week in my Greek Orthodox Church. Kyrie Eleison is still said there. A lot of Roman Catholics don't like to hear it, but Greek was even spoken in Rome during the Divine Liturgy in early Christianity, and Latin came later. In fact Christ himself used the Septuagint version of the Old Testament which was in Greek. It's the same reason the more intellectual Roman Emperors, and scholars of the Empire during that time spoke Greek.
