Tip: get Duraline from Inglot, and make the paste on the back of your hand. I have ruined multiple eyeshadow corners with fix+ and this saved me. Also Duraline is made specifically for this, I found the sparkly shadows truly bright even after they dry down on the lid, later. Step 1: put a drop of Duraline on the back of your hand Step 2: pick up some eyeshadow with your desired dry brush Step 3: mix it with the liquid and step 4: apply on lid. Extra tip: perfect for using the shadow as an eyeliner, too! and... awesome review, Michele! :) Thank you!

I use Urban Decay Original Primer Potion in this same way..Make a paste, etc..These Colors..So Pretty..Worth the experimenting, I think..I will give the Duraline a “Whirl” w/these.. Denise Sheffield Agreed, but these actually do work dry-it’s just a much different texture and look. Mostly glitter with a wash of color if you don’t use a mixing medium.

Thank you for this very detailed video Michele! You always put so much work into your videos. That's why they are so helpful. I will try applying my liquid and creme blushes over powder as well. Like you I usually forget to apply them before powder and if I don't forget I don't like that powder dims the blush down. Usually I end applying powder blush on top. 😘

I do the opposite, I dip brush into shadow then spray the brush w/eyeshadow on it with fix+. That’s how a Mac artist told me how to do it & it has always worked perfectly fine for me. 😊

From their Insta page, they are making a $60,000 donation across the 6 charities. It is unrelated to the sales of the products. So if you are buying a certain color to support a certain charity, it is not a percentage of the sales of that color. At least that is my understanding from the comments on their Instagram

I just wanted to say I read it as they’re making $60K across all 6, not individually. To quote them “this year we’re making a donation of $60,000 across 6 of the charities” and then they suggested the poster to stay tuned to their Insta for future charities. It was a response to @anishmish’s question. That means each charity will get $10K each. Charity is charity, & it’s wonderful to support animals, but for large businesses it’s also a way to avoid taxes and when used as a marketing point, as Chantecaille does, I do feel it’s disingenuous. If anyone is interested in helping the lions (I don’t know organizations for the others) I recommend subscribing to the LionWhisperer KZbin and watching his amazing work with lions and allowing the ads to play so that the channel receives monetization.

Ashley x, sorry but I gotta disagree, the fact a large donation is being made is in my opinion, generous and honourable but furthermore it’s a great way to give a “shout” to all these wonderful charities and spread awareness regardless of the source. I much prefer this to brands paying thousands of pounds to influencers who couldn’t lie straight in bed, but that’s just my thoughts.

Michele, I want to thank you for introducing me to Chantecaille. I had never heard of the brand prior to seeing your recent videos. While in Houston a week ago, I went to Nordstrom. Well, let me say I really went Chantecaille Crazy. Hi Michele, I am a one-shadow eye makeup look gal and you are spot on with your review. I have tried on the colors at the counter, very fortunate they have arrived in SG and am in love with them. My favorite is Pangolin, the color changes with different lighting and angle. I am good to go with just Pangolin 😁😁

I loved playing with these in store past weekend. I used the Elephant shade with a finger, and tapped it on top of shadow. There was still minimal fall out. However, like you mentioned, not as much and it lasted me for the next 6 hours (that's when I took my makeup off) . Nordstrom is taking preorders for next week at the moment. I'm a huge fan of Chantecaille. Their products are wonderful with the added plus of actually consistently giving back. After your haul, I ordered Elephant, Rhino and Giraffe. I think they are coming in today. I also thought these lend themselves to one shadow looks which I've been doing more and more. I love all of the colors and love the coolness. I'm sick of red/orange/yellow shadows. I'll probably go back and get the blush and lip LOL. Thank you for such a detailed review.

@@christyferasin4560 - Yes I love the tones of the 3 I got. They are gorgeous. There is glitter in them but not too much and it is very fine. I use a stickier eye base and do not set it which keeps the glitter from ending up on my upper cheeks. The quality is top notch and colors are beautiful.

Brenda F random and I know this was ages ago, but do you find the elephant and the rhino very similar? I have rhino and I just got elephant but in the pan they don’t look different enough to justify the $80 price tag (I’m Australian haha) and I can’t swatch them to test because if I swatch elephant I can’t return it haha. @@howtogirl Honestly on the eye and conversational distance there isn't much difference at all between the two IMO. If you stare hard enough you can pick up a little olive in the Rhino. The elephant is slightly more gray. These are extremely glittery and will end up all of your cheeks unless you use a really tacky eye primer. I don't mind having them because they support a good cause but I never use them because of all the glitter. Unless you LOVE glitter everywhere these may be a pass for you.

Steph B I’m in Australia too but had chance to swatch them overseas recently. I was initially surprised just how glittery they were so I only purchased Rhino for the olive-grey shade being quite different (bit of bluey-green to me)... but on the eye it wasn’t a total glitter bomb and then I was kicking myself for not getting Elephant and Pangolin too! I think Elephant leans more brown-grey with a touch of mauve (am I mad seeing that?)and I’m about to order those 2 shades now they’re finally here in Aus. I’ve also seen Elephant used wet to smoke out the under eye and outer corner with a plum liner and it looked lovely. Not sure if I’ve helped or confused 🤷🏻‍♀️ sorry.

It was nice of Chantecaille to send you the entire fall collection, but brands are usually hoping to get positive advertising out of sending PR packages so it's never entirely out of the goodness of their hearts. I was a little afraid when you uploaded your PR video on Monday that you'd let your gratitude push you into glossing over whatever issues the products might have, and I'm relieved that that's not the case. I am excited about these shadows, great video Michele! Hopefully they will arrive in the UK at the beginning of Sept. I spoke to a lovely Chantecaille SA in Harrods yesterday and she said they had just had training on the eye shadows and they were told they are not supposed to be used wet. Which is really weird because your wet swatches look lovely.

Very informative and helpful video Michele! I was so excited for this collection too and when I saw it on the Chantecaille website I immediately picked up some of the eye shades (Pangolin, Rhinoceros and Cheetah). In my opinion Chantecaille is one of the cleaner luxury brands so I really like that and it works well for me. Their quality and packaging are always impeccable! I agree with you about the fallout of the eye shades which was somewhat disappointing but still very workable and the overall result is still beautiful. I'm going to try your tip of applying with my finger to see if that helps so thank you for that! Always appreciate your videos and here's wishing you a great rest of the week!
