For the second Amtrak train 19 it was hauled by three p40DCs except I didn't saw clearly their numbers

Actually it was 2 P40DCs and for some reason a Metro North P32AC-DM which I am very confused about. Maybe it was for delivery or something I don't know.

Did they run the P40s directly into Penn Station? Or did they engine change somewhere?

At that time, the Crescent used E60s between New York Penn and Philadelphia. The P40s took care the rest of the trip.

@@danielchou5895 I remember a picture on an old Amtrak fan site back in this era showing an Amtrak P32AC-DM headed south on the Cresent, much like this Metro North Unit was, even the photographer stated his confusion in the caption about seeing a 700 series dual mode headed south on the Cresent. New Orleans has a pretty big Amtrak diesel shop and historically they specialized in Amtrak's GE Units (P30CHs, the Dash-8 (500 series), and the first P40DCs were often on trains that serviced New Orleans) so maybe they were cycling these dual modes in and out of New Orleans for some sort of special maintence to be performed?

@@adamm2837 I heard they were on the crescent so they could be transferred to the GE plant in Erie. I'm not sure if that is entirely true though.
