There's only one thing I think you missed, the flashback version of the Mystic Ruins. I loved running around in that area as a kid, and still really enjoy how beautiful and colourful it is as an adult

I always wished there was a way to go back into the past whenever you wanted and hang out with Tikal and all the echidnas. It especially sucks because, if you don't know about it, you can miss out on Tails' Rhythm Badge and have no way of getting it later because you can only find it in the flashback.

Same I intentionally kept a save file where Tails is hanging out there. Also did you ever play out of bounds on the Egg Carrier? Also Knuckles should have been allowed to transform the Egg Carrier as he accesses the transformed top half in his story.

Favourite part in sonic adventure dx is hands down going from twinkle park to speed highway and just the sunset/nighttime vibes of station square is very relaxing. The egg carrier theme is so chill and unique. I agree that beta mk2 theme is amazing, one of my favourite tracks in the game. I also really like lost world, very atmospheric soundtrack and level design is cool.

Gamma is my favourite character so even when playing through the easy levels he was a joy given how much I enjoyed the gameplay style, so ofcourse I completely agree with the placement of his final boss fight! Gamma's theme and Beta's battle theme are the best parts of the OST to me, and definitely elevate his story even further.

Red Mountain is being severely underrated here. It is a fantastic Sonic stage, arguably his best imo, making the best use of his spin dash throughout both the 1st and 2nd acts. Gamma's is also probably his best stage outside of Hot Shelter. It's still short but feels a bit longer than all the previous stages

Sonic Adventure is so special to me. Ive tried to get into SA2 multiple times through the years, but it just doesn't hit the same. I got both the year they launched on Dreamcast. The way SA captured me is just next level. I play through DX once a year since 2007. The memories of the SDU chao, my first play through over the course of like 2 days, the fascination with the Chao Garden because i was in the era of pokemon and keychain virtual pets. Every time i play it im back to my childhood, and I appreciate it; flaws and all. I've been subbed a good while now and enjoy it all, but videos full of SA1 hype like this hit different for me, lol.

Personally, I'd rank Casinopolis lower. I would probably even make a distinction between the Sonic and Tails version. Sonic's Casinopolis is either two or three runs of the sewer level, which is not that interesting of a section to begin with, or a couple minutes of pinball, which I also find more tedious than fun. Sonic's version is E Rank for me. Tails gets to run through the sewer section once, which is better in my opinion, so I'd say that's a D Rank. Red Mountain is an A for me. I don't mind the relative lack of speed once in a while if the platforming is good, and Red Mountains platforming is really good. And the time limit mission for both Sonic and Gamma are just the right amount of challenge from what I remember. I am also a sucker for lava themes. Sonic's Final Egg is possibly my favorite level in the game. Both songs are amazing, with Act 2 probably my favorite level music in the game. Like I said before, I am fine with a smaller emphasis on Speed if the platforming is fun, and this stage delivers. Homing chains, moving platforms and risk/reward with some scary spin dash jumps (scary for a scrub like me anyways). My hot take is that I prefer Sand Hill to Ice Cap for Tails. Keeping up the gate combo to break the record was a good challenge, which is something you don't really need to do in Ice Cap (I played the DC version, so if this is different in DX, that's why). I also find the controls more responsive in Sand Hill, as the terrain feels more even. However, this might just be a placebo. 37:00 Helpful digging indicator? What do you mean? Is that a thing they added in the Battle version? Because I don't seem to have that in the DC version. Would have been mighty useful, I spent like one and a half minutes digging random spots around a crystal in Mad Space until finally hitting the one pixel with the emerald shard. 37:55 makes you wonder why the Echidnas even installed gravity walls if they could all just climb and glide around... I too was fairly neutral on Amy's Twinkle Park, but then I played the time limit mission. Holy heck. One of the hardest missions in the game, and it's made very frustrating by all the camera angle changes. Whenever those happen, the direction you hold on the stick relative to Amy's movement direction changes, so you end up loosing all your momentum. Especially annoying when you were about to use the running hammer attack to get speed, but instead you loose all speed and get stuck in a 3 second animation. Basically kills the whole run of that mission. Whoa, I don't agree with Amy's Hot Shelter in E tier. I really like this one! It's a simple 3D plaformer level, like something out of Super Mario 3D World, but has some setpieces like Zero breaking through the screens and platforming on machinery and gears. I like when plaformers contextualize the platforming in the setting, and this level does that exceptionally well. Also the music slaps. Big's Ice Cap sucks. It's my least favorite level. The 2000g mission is basically impossible. I spent upwards of an hour trying to catch the damn fish, only to get the glitch again and again. Big's missions and Chao Racing are the reason I don't see myself fully completing this game again any time soon. 53:38 I really, REALLY like shooting stuff with Gamma. His gameplay is largely carried by the viscera of blowing the bejesus out of everything in sight as well as racking up combos. A little simple, but for as short as his campaign is, I am all fine with turning of my lizard brain and just basking in the simple dopamine. Gamma also has the benefit of having the best time limit missions in the game, as you have to not only get to the end fast, but also juggle that with getting combos to keep the timer up. Sometimes you even have to finish with more time than you started with. It feels like a precursor to the ranking system, as this is the only time you have to meaningfully balance speed and secondary objectives (in this case combos). It makes for some fun "on the spot decision making" if that makes sense. 1:01:00 I do like this one. Yeah, it gets boring after 30 seconds, but it doesn't even last that long, so for a quick little minigame it's fun and cute at best or inoffensive at worst. Mystic Ruins is a B for me. What can I say, I'm a Metroid fan. I like areas with a ton of atmosphere. Overall, I don't disagree much. Some small disagreements here and there, but our views seem to largely line up. This was a well made video. Thank you!

This is really good introduction to overall Sonic moveset, and this is really balanced boss fight overall. 2) Emerald coast (2:00 min A) A rank. Perfect first stage that teaches you about Sonic's gameplay. Have a Really good collision and not a lot of bugs. Also Whale scene. 3)Egg Hornet. D-rank. *homing attack intensively* 4)Windy Walley (3:00 min A) B rank. Pretty good stage overall. Windy path is a pretty cool gimmick, and there is a lot of shortcuts to speed everything up. 5)Casinopolis. (5:00 min A) B rank. Cool stage with impressive lighting feel of the real casino. For the Pinball section-it is alright. For the A rank go to the Sewers. 6)Ice Cap (4:00 min A) B-rank. Overall, every part of stage is skippable, but it isnt too hard to do this. Board controls with Sonic are alright, so no problem there. 7)Knuckles boss fight. C rank *OH NO* 8)Chaos 4. D rank. Okay boss, but gets boring after 1 fight. 9)Sky Chase 1. (Second emblem> 8000 points) B rank.I love this stage, it always feel so cool. Tornado controls okay, and there is not too much going on. 10)Twinkle Park (3:00 A) E-rank. WELCOME TO THE WORST STAGE IN THE GAME. Idea is cool, Skips are really hard, i hate this stage. 11)Speed Highway (2:30 A) A rank. As Sonic said: "It's time for some Supersonic speed!" Really fast stage with good music. I like it. 12)Red Mountain (3:00 A) B-rank. Speedrunning this stage is fun, but on the casual playthrough it can be frustrating. 13)Sky Chase 2 (Second emblem> 22 000 points) A rank. Asthetic is SOOO good.I love it 14)Sky Deck. (5:00 A). A rank. WELCOME TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE STAGES IN SA1. Music is good< skips are great, Segment are sooo cool, asthetic is beautiful. 15)Gamma fight. D rank *Mechanical noises intensifies* 16)Chaos 6. This fight is challenging and fun, i love it.

You're too hard on some of these levels Chaos 6 is so cool & fun to fight while also being personal for Big. Hedgehog Hammer is supposed to be a short & sweet minigame that you would constantly replay. Also there were the Event DLC Twinkle Circuit Tracks that were locked in the data for SADX. I always liked Sand Hill better than Ice Cap because of the branching paths & cool ruins rearranging themselves thing. Mystic Ruins has to be huge it holds entrances to half the game's stages. It's also too bad that you have no way of replaying the Knuckles fight other than starting new files & actually getting to that point again.

I found a way to get into final egg in just 4 moves, has anyone else figured this out?, also it seems you didn't read the manual, IT EXPLAINS YOU HAVE DO PRESS DOWN ON THE PAD TO HOOK THE LURE, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THINGS PEOPLE, and 1 last thing, for sub-games [except hedgehog hammer] you get an emblem just for playing them in-game, the 2nd is for high score, for hedgehog hammer in game I suggest going for 2000 points for the feather then 3000 for the long hammer which is Amy's secret item, it makes it easier to get the 2nd emblem playing it as a sub-game for the emblems, for the first you just need to hit a blue Sonic & let the time run, like the other sub-games you get an emblem just for playing, the 2nd emblem is high score with the exception of twinkle circuit since every character can do that stage & all scores are individual, unlike sky chase & sand hill, that's why I suggest just getting through the stage on the first play of those stages & not going for the high score, because if you do you then have to beat the score you got as it's the new high score to get the 2nd emblem

kinda miss the part in the Gamma Fight, where if you have the Rhythm Badge with Tails you're able to hit him forever. Loved the upgrade so much back then, especially in the past where you're able to spin all over the place

i liked how you went about structuring the video by levels and characters. however, it was a bit annoying to watch. many inconsistencies in the way you evaluate them by gameplay, plot, aesthetic, and then the weird digressions about speedrunning skips. like you said, you're entitled to your opinion, but the delivery felt very negative for the sake of it. i appreciate any sonic content, but this one was off-putting for some reason.

Sky chase has got to be my favorite sub game, chaos 4 is easily my favorite boss, it's such a long boss time which makes it the best boss. Knuckles sky deck is such a good stage because of how hellish that stage is, you only put the knuckles fight in B tier? Honestly I would have put it in A, it's really difficult and has a lot going for it, 'oh no" shows so much in that fight. Station square is really difficult because of those cars that run over you, super easy to die. Lost world is my least favorite boss fight, because of how slow it is for me, and it's really easy to die and i suck at the game. Chaos 0 is a very good chao garden though, there isnt too much about it and it's sort of like a tutorial that most people would find relaxing. I can agree with your hot shelter ranking for Amy, but its only because of the robot, there's actually a vent in the stage which bumps the ranking up a bit for me. (if you know you know) Twinkle circuit would make for such a fun multiplayer kart racing game, sonic riders but without the boards. 10.5/10

@@WaterKirby1994 He'd design innocent things like toys or amusement park rides as hidden traps and craft traps to take advantage of the weakness of whoever he targeted usually the X-Men or Spider Man but he's gone after the whole marvel universe at this point and now designs his murderworlds based on current pop culture like the hunger games.
