I don't believe I've ever watched one of your episodes. The title captured me - Stressful Sailing in San Blas. I've never experienced stress in San Blas - except the time I had to decline an attractive young lady's invitation to join her for a drink. Perfect title. Great video. I had a bit of a laugh when you said - Oh no. Don't hit the Oyster. and another when you compared the quick check out to Costa Rica. I think it took us 3 days to get checked out of Costa Rica. I'm glad it all worked out. Unfortunately, I am stuck on land for a bit.

I think in some of those sailing and anchoring situations, you can only do what you can do and after that, ya just have to deal with the good and the bad. I know there's some very hectic days but, hopefully, those days are far and few between. Take care you two ! You're doing awesome. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us......

@ the end of the day ,,,,,,,the Captain is the one ultimately held LIABLE for the decisions made with regards to the health and welfare of aLLL crew and passengers onboard and the "PRUDENCE" of his seamanship !!!

I just found your channel and follow several sailing one's like your's. However, you have English Setters which I have had. What a smart, hunting breed to have on a boat. I must see more of your adventures now. Cool content so far.

Hi. Is there a reason why the thanks button is not turned on? The thanks button is how people can contribute to the channel.

Oh good question, I am not familiar with this feature but will look into it! We always have our “buy us a beer” link included in every show notes if you’re ever feeling generous 🙏☺️ thanks for the heads up and we’ll see if we can activate that feature!

And soooo , who was supposed to be up standing "Anchor Watch" instead of sleeping ??? Especially during "Adverse Weather" ???
@MakingOurWay2 ай бұрын
Nothing about this weather was “adverse” and nothing about being on watch would have prevented this. As you may recall, WE were not the ones who dragged
@toddbettis1482 ай бұрын
@@MakingOurWay Any wind strong enough to cause either your vessel or any other vessels in your immediate vicinity to "Drag" would be considered "Adverse" in an Admiralty court of law !!! ALLso , as specified in publication H.O.52 International rules of the road , which every vessel should have onboard , read and understood "a proper lookout SHALL be posted at ALL times as low and far forward as practically possible !!! Just sayin !!! If in the event anything "BaD" ever were to happen and the requirements of those laws were noTTT sufficiently met guess who's going to be "On the hook"!!! And that goes for any kinds of damage i.e. enviornmental , property damage and/or loss of life !!! You might benefit from watching a movie called "White Squall" based on a TRUE story about a Captain who was put on trial due to an 'Unforeseen weather event" !!! ALLLLso if you are anchoring in "broken coral reef fragments and or debris , that is considered not good holding grounds and if you drag and hit the reef , countries have been known to impound the vessel , arrest the vessels owners and operators and charge them for the damages to the reefs plus penalties !!! So a good "Anchor watch and "Prudent seamanship is MUCH cheaper and easier pill to swallow !!!

I am so tired of these pre-watch adds on the same two to three subjects. They now get muted or I move on to watch something without them.
