If you build this deck for fun or format, make sure you use the old, non errata version of Dmoc and CED. But if you don’t have it or it’s master duel don’t bother including Dmoc or CED. Just go with sorcerer and BLS.

I bet the devs never play tested Chaos Emp Dragon. I cant believe they used this effect, even casually, and thought, this seems fine.

I know this combo was broken but this was peak yugioh for me as a kid. I bought my first box when IoC came out and I still have the 1st ed BLS and CED I got from it. Absolutely love this format. Def cuz of nostalgia but w.e Hey you should do a series on the ocg formats. Hitasumi giant format was crazy lol

Also scientist was my fav tech for this deck. Also loved that deck. I know scientist will never return but I loved using dmoc in my scientist otk

Where BLS and CED the first exiles of “retrains” in the game? Maybe CED is more debatable, since it’s not explicitly a “Blue-Eye” card and maybe was more inspired by it, but definitely BLS, right? EDIT: Oh, and DMOC.

Never understood how CED came to be, even as a kid i understood how power creeping it was and doubted how would yugioh would direct their card desing after (for they only over correct and go almost all gx with mediocre cards)

Because the literal entire history of Yugioh was Konami printing stupidly insane shit that no one would ever think was good card design so that they could sell things and then obselete them with bans or more insane shit a few months later.

I'll never understand why CED is considered to be more powerful than BLS. It could lock you, but you have to have more than 1000 lp, have light and dark in grave, have witch or Sangan in grave, have a revival s/t and not have Yata in hand. Apart for that situational usecase, there's also situational burn where your opponent has the advantage since he draws. Both of these effects are useful, and even being easily summonable 3000 beat stick is good, much more often I want BLS since his effects are always good and usually reset the state quite well.

There so many different ways to get the effect off and if Yata is in your hand or goes to the GY, Fiber Jar was there to reset everything.
