I have been there like more then 100 times. I always rent a boat with a steering wheel. It sucks in the small parts sometimes. But sometimes when a boat is just in the right angle i like to give them te last touch. So they will be like totally 180 degrees turned. But serious some people are really bad. They keep spinning the wheel and totally forget they have throttle. That is possibles to do more then go full throttle.

Ik ben van mening dat Aziaten en Arabieren beter kunnen varen dan de gemiddelde Hollanders zelf 😂 Nederlanders gaan stoer lopen doen, alcohol drinken en gaan respectloos met materiaal van een ander om. Mensen van buiten doen nog enigzins hun best om voorzichtig te doen met de boten en beschoeing

I was in Amsterdam a couple of years ago, remember sitting by the canal drinking and a drunk Polish man dressed in full military gear asked me if i wanted to go for a ride, i said "Sure why not, wheres your boat?" He just looked around and said, *Here we can take this one* , And as drunk as i was i didnt object, he was so drunk himself, we ended up in the harbor, when we finally got to the center we managed to hit every passing boat we found on the way. One hell of a ride. 10/10

As a captain in Amsterdam, Corona didnt stop the number of boats except during the lockdowns when the tourist boats couldnt operate. Loads of people actually bought new boats this summer and the shipyards and marinas are now rammed with people trying to store their new boats over winter since they don't know what to do with them. I predict Waternet will be recovering quite a few boats next year as people abandon them over winter and their permits expire and/or they start sinking after the heavy rains.

Man man man, je gaat daar ergens op een terrasje zitten en dan zie je dat hele gekkenhuis voorbij trekken. Dat is leuk. Helemaal niks is het op zo n klotebootje te wiebelen, elk moment vraag je je dan af of dat wel goed afloopt. Maar men wil graag gezien worden in hun pronkerige sloep, iedereen is er, dus jij ook.
