I was told the reason why people get pissed because the weather will say 40% chance of rain and they will complain that it did not rain. It does not mean that there is a 40% chance of rain. It means that there is a 100% chance of rain over 40% of the area.

In 3 billion years no living thing will be on earth unless we figure out how to somehow safely move it away from the expanding dying sun that would cook the earth if still in its current orbit. The temperature by that point would boil all of the oceans away.
