Went cologne shopping, sprayed 6-7 different designer colognes on both arms(yes I have a headache) to see how they all performed once dried down. Could smell it for the rest of the day and could still smell it in a air in my car the next day. I think 3 would be plenty with this I wouldn't go any more that that.. Maybe one on my lower neck and one on each arm if that.. Depending on the situation maybe even less.. one or two sprays.

LOVE Sauvage Elixir. I don't care for anything else in the line, but Elixir was a must buy when I smelled it. Even though it's expensive, I think it's a great value for how long it lasts and how few sprays you need in a day. I'll be buying a backup bottle very soon.

Yes. Many reviewers fail to consider the amount of sprays needed when gauging value. To me even the Parfum needs double the sprays as the Elixir and still doesn't stick around nearly as long.

Yes and also not just that the scent is better, but projection is nuclear and longevity is almost eterbal, I only put 2 sprays and get compliments. It is expensive but I think it actually has good value considering the just masterpiece performance

I hated the EDT and the other two flankers, I can’t stand the metallic smell on them. But yesterday I bought a fragrance and the Elixir sample came in and I tested it. It’s amazing and I’m really loving it. The drydown is impressively nice for me, since I’ve hated all the other ones from the line. Elixir is my next buy for sure.

Sauvage ppl found out during lockdown why all other ppl were feeling suffocated by the metallic ambroxan. So they eased off and made it into a proper perfume with good vibes and for home alone type instead of irritating ppls noses.

I’m very happy with the performance and consistency of Elixir. I work in a casino and don’t usually expect my fragrance to cut through the smoke and A/C, but this is crushing it 6-7 hours in. I don’t think I’ll even need to reapply at all 💪🏽

It is a powerful scent. One spray, two maximum and projection is insane. I sprayed 5 or 6 just to see how long it would go and my wife was smelling it on me the next day even after showering two times. Crazy longevity. And yeah, there is no similarity with the EDT and EDP, dont know about the P.

I have this scent for 1 week. It’s a great one with strong performances. It could have been sold on its own. As for the price, don’t focus on it. 2,sprays will last the whole day as for others you would apply 5 sprays and eventually re-apply. I bought it France for 97€ ( 144€ discounted at 30%).

I got the sample 7.5 ML. It smells really good, I just could never see it as a daily signature. It smells like a very high quality blend of aromas from the Holiday season IE pine, nutmeg, cinnamon etc.

Tried a carded sample… It’s very potent. I don’t find the immediate opening appealing. It reminds me of the “power players” of the 70’s. I find it definitely for men over 30 at the very low end of the age spectrum. This one would have to be your “high end go to” for evening events, formal dinners and the like…pretty limited. Two sprays folks…no more. It has the potency and effect of something like Kouros by YSL. Personally, I would never wear this in summer, or to work or school or a construction site.😂

I really loved this scent but compared to Sauvage EDT, I almost get instantly have temporary anosmia to it because it is really potent (that is just one spray btw) and last a day to me and my workmates can notice the scent from afar 😂. It is expensive, YES, but since you will use a small amount of spray to it (2 sprays max for me), it will last long 😂

I was thinking of buying like 5 or 6 amazing fragrances which are going to be; Ysl - la nuit de l'homme, Parfums de Marley - Layton, viktor and rolf - Spicebomb Extreme, Mancera - Cedrat Boise, Chanel - Bleu de Chanel Parfum and maybe Dior - Homme Intense or Dolce and Gabbana - The One. What do you think? I only have Paco Rabanne - 1 Million EDT and Parfum, YSL - Y EDP and Chanel - Bleu de Chanel EDP at the moment. Edit: I bought all of these fragrances with the exception of d&g the one, and WOW! They smell so amazing!

Elixer is the opposite of Dior Homme 2020 (with the youtube reviewers). The reviews by the youtube guru's all love Elixir but it won't be mass appealing. I've worn it twice and my wife dislikes it. It's complex, rich, earthy... kind of strange... but not a compliment puller. I won't buy it, I wouldn't wear it if I got it for free. Meanwhile the gurus hated on Dior 2020 and it's a massive seller and massive compliment machine. Mass appeal vs guru stamp of approval.

I just used it yesterday and I got this syrup sweetness scent but not in a bad way. I got this similar smell like jpg ultra male but with the sauvage metallic scent. I really liked it overall it’s a subtle metallic sweet scent if you smelled the other ones you’ll know what I mean. I’m coming from the parfum version to this one. I like both but I rather go with the elixir in my opinion. What do y’all think?

Although I'm commenting on this around a year later, there was something that Dallas with relation to being the "obnoxious fragrance guy entering a room..." (Words to that affect) I think a good video would be, 'fragrances for those who are/want to be the obnoxious fragrance guy, entering a room' - as for me personally, I love walking into the office and people knowing that I'm around due to the scent I'm wearing 🙂👍🏼

Its weird. Im not a fan of sauvage really. But Elixir is PHENOMINAL. Very sophisticated and incredibly moreish. Longevity, check. Projection, check. Only thing i can fault is the price.

I can only reference a sample of King Fragrances Savage Elixir...and it's 🔥. I have a pre-order on Alexandria Fragrances version. I don't knock a good clone house when they do it just as good at 1/3 of the cost...but if you're a collector...I can definitely see spending the 💰

Bought the 100ml two weeks ago and performance is really not what it used to be when it was released. It is less potent and sweet. It lacks the smokiness of the initial batches. Regret buying it. How is the performance on yours? Does it need macerating? Thank you.

Wow, I really wish Ralph Lauren would get their shit together and release a Polo Green EDP and parfum. like that was the pioneer into most people getting into fragrances. Like now I was shocked that the version they have on shelves is like nothing. Like not even close. I remember my mom hated it, severely. Like I had to put it on outside. If I tried to even go into the attic or cellar, she would bust me. I would use the phone later and still get screamed at. Now I barely smell it. It has the vibe for a few minutes. Like they released the intense version but they seemed confused and didn't even have the same color bottle. Like can't they see how other houses worked it? Like Versace Eros should be textbook way of successful releasing a fragrance. -Release a super EDT...when you release the powerhouse EDT...you get the vibe out there and ... -water down the EDT by half and get people bitching and wanting the strong one. - then release a strong tweaked EDP to replace the EDT...then do the same step as before watering down the EDP... -release the parfum...perfecting all the issues in the EDP.. (Keep bottle design all versions)

Anybody unable to go to a local Macy’s or Sephora, if you go to the Dior website just buy the cheapest thing you can like the Sauvage deodorant and at check out you get this free sample for the elixir. Worth it if you can’t get to a retail store

Sauvage EDT is my daily, Elixir is for my nights out with my gf. she loves the original spicebomb on me too though that’s a separate occasion 😎 lol I like both though, the Ambroxan mettalic bomb of the sauvage EDT is amazing to my nose. The spicy, cinnamon of the elixir is incredible too though. They’re both incredible to me honestly 😄

@@wasifromail6599 spray the Elixir first and then spray the EDT on top. I read about this specific Elixir/EDT layer combo somewhere else. Someone had said a Dior representative recommended they try this combo out and I must say from personal experience it’s fantastic.

I’m not knocking Elixir and I respect it’s popularity but it isn’t for everyone. I’ve tried it and it has too much patchouli for my tastes. I feel it’s the overpowering ingredient in the mixology. I’ve tried all the Sauvages and I’m not impressed with their scents, especially on me. Definitely not worth the price in my book, I have found colognes that costs less that work better for me. Thanks for your video I found it very interesting. Everyone needs to try it for themselves and see if it works for them.

I got a sample tried it. I love the smell, but it is very strong. I only had 2 sprays on the first try at work, one on the neck, one on the wrists. Got complimented immediatly, yet when staying in an enclosed space for too long, i also got complaints. That is how strong it is. Finding the balance will be the key. Personally I love the smell, and I guess im weird, i dont really smell liquirice, but a flowery pine tree kind of scent. (guess it might be the juniper, I have a really untrained nose) I love it though!
