I work in a cosmetics & fragrance store here in the UK and on our handheld terminals (Honeywell) it says it’s been discontinued when I scanned the barcode. I’m so glad I bought a bottle of it last week! I paid £27 for a 50ml bottle as it was on clearance in my store. They had it hidden under the counter so nobody would know it was there unless they specifically asked for it!

I fell in love with this smell at first scent. Ended up buying a 6.7 ounce bottle but I only wear it during the fall so I still have well over 90% of the bottle. I'm very fortunate 💯

I managed to snag me a 100 ml bottle of this fragrance off of eBay and I paid like $126 for it so yes the prices are getting a little bit more expensive but I think this fragrance is worth that price it smells really good and I'm glad that I was able to find a bottle at a decent price for for it to be a discontinued fragrance

Today I bought a 50mL bottle for $20. Jokingly offered $20 and they accepted. I'm keeping it but the thought has crossed my mind to sell it for a good profit right now but it may be smarter to hold on to it for a year or 2. I wanna highlight an alternative to Prive for people but it's gonna be in the lower end of niche prices, so around Mancera prices. It's Daniel Josier Ambre Tabac. Very close to Prive but the honey note is big and it has an ultra male top note kinda sweetness running throughout it. Very high quality, i have a decant of this stuff 👍

The Fragrance Apprentice did a video on this about 8 months ago. He called Paco Rabonne and they told him that it wasn't discontinued but would no longer be marketed and sold in certain parts of the world. So when they say that it's "no longer available" they may not mean outright discontinued but rather just not available in the North America region. Maybe still a glimmer of hope?

I would like to be entered!!! Prieve is a masterpiece for crisp autumn days. The vanilla and tobacco blend is incredible, pity that it is being discontinued. PDM herod is like a distant cousin smell wise if you cant get your hands on a bottle of prieve, but there is no replacing the smell of prieve.

Many high demand fragrances are not available in the US because they contain chemicals that are banned by the FDA. One example is butylphenyl methylpropional, which is banned as of this year. This is very common in many Paco Rabanne fragrances.

I traded a bottle of the privé for another scent with a coworker because it was making my allergies act up. This was in the spring time, but now as it’s getting colder I wanted to buy it again and give it another shot in the cooler weather and now I saw yesterday online that it’s being discontinued smh. So sad this has discontinued. I've still got 25ml of it left and I've just ordered a backup bottle which wasnt cheap. I'll lock that away forever. Only comes out on a special occasion but all isn't to bad. The new elixir from paco rabanne is very similar and there's not much between the two

It's a very nice fragrance but honestly, I won't miss it. Spicebomb Extreme, Code Profumo and even Bvlgari MIB are better designer alternatives within that scent profile, in my humble personal opinion. I would put Pure Malt/Havane in that list as well, but their current formulations are too weak so I wouldn't recommend them unless you can find old batches at a decent price.
