Colleen, i don’t often have the energy to leave comments although I’m talking out loud to you when watching your videos(and to myself all day err day lol), but I so want to reach out and somehow get you to see how much are deserving of love and admiration and all the good things. I also have those self loathing tapes running through my head all the time and it’s been a fight all my life. I’ve finally had a bit of success with it by doing two things. One thing is changing the words i’m saying in my head. For example my thought would say you’re so stupid and then would escalate into really awful things. When I can recognize im doing it i change it to you’re just a human in this world like everybody else. It’s super neutral and not a fake statement like you’re the best ever so it feels easier to say and can sometimes stop my spirals. The other thing is connected and it’s just me finally realizing that every human being is equal in value, worth just as much and no more than others. If that’s true then can’t be the worst because it would elevate over others by being worse than them. It’s still a struggle for me but it helps. I’m so grateful for you and your openness and willingness to share. I am disabled and have struggled with mental health for 40 years. Your videos make me feel less alone and comfort me. You are very loved and very deserving of love ❤❤

I’m on a Facebook page about exploring places with your dog and I was getting so mad about people who’d gatekeep places! I decided to take random photos of my dog, some where even places that I’d visited years ago with dogs that are long gone now and made up stories about where I was! Colleen I’ve commented numerous times. I’m older (40), single mom to a now adult young man(22) and adore you. My son loved you when he was younger. He introduced me to both You & Rachel. Much like you I always tried my best to take interest in what he was/is (still) into. He loved Rachel’s book (we went to her book signing near me) then both of yours. We saw you a number of times and had a blast. We also saved up and took a trip to NYC to see you in Waitress! You were amazing, we had so much fun. You even signed my sons playbill (it’s still framed). My point to this ramble, it’s so good to have you back. I will never pretend to know how difficult last year was for you…,but I know it wasn’t easy. I’m so thankful you’re still here. You & Your beautiful family have made me smile at the lowest & happiest of times. Even though I’m older you have made me feel seen, heard and understood so many times. That’s priceless, thank you. I’ve been watching since your run in Waitress (my husband introduced me to you - he said “You know Miranda that I’ve shown you videos of? Well she’s in waitress and vlogging it” and been hooked ever since. (BTW waitress is one of my all time favourite musicals!) BACK to my main point ( you also made me realize that I too have late age diagnosed ADHD, as you were going through it my husband and I kept looking at each other knowing I do A LOT of the same things) Back to my point yet again 🤦‍♀️ You are incredible. You are one of the best Moms I have ever seen and I’ve loved watching you and Erik with the kids! I know it’s hard to quiet the voices in your head when they are negative but just know there are so many people who love and support you from all over the world! Colleen, when people are genuinely having fun and enjoying an experience they aren't trying to control their faces or look cool. So the reason you think you look "embarassing" is because you are seeing yourself experience something amazing and you're not hiding anything. It isn't embarassing, it's beautiful! How many people practice a soft smile for their wedding day only to get their pictures back and see big, wide smiles and crinkly eyes? Probably a lot, and that's ok because it's the happiest day and they're expressing it! Candid photos and videos are the best because the emotions aren't fake or practiced, they're real. Please remember this and learn that when looking back on the pictures that didn't come out the best that you were living in the moment and enjoying every second ❤

As I was watching the concert footage my thoughts were “omg that looks so fun!!! It would have been so fun to be there with them!
