can anyone explain the backstory of how the chaotic gore magala didnt molt

In the wiki lore, this is a Gore Magala that has been interrupted or "traumatized" during his molting process. Now it roams the lands in excruciating pain until a hunter comes along to put it out of its misery. But there is also information that if a Gore Magala is about to molt into Shagaru Magala with a Shagaru Magala ALREADY present, then that Shagaru will go find this juvenile Magala and purposely stop it from shedding. I'm not sure if that's full story but this is the information I had come to learn.

​@@haydenking-cp8pv Specifically, Shagaru Magala's presence is what interrupts other Gore Magalas from molting. When one Gore Magala successfully molts and becomes Shagaru, it spreads a now modified form of the black mist that also disrupts the molting process of other Gore Magalas in the vicinity. Gore Magalas with their molt suppressed like this will result in Chaotic Gore Magala. It serves to weed out competition, you see.

He has an eye skeleton. But he has no eyeballs. This is also proof that the juvenile tried to grow into an adult, but was interrupted in the process. It's a sad fact.

That’s honestly pretty sad. In order to start the molt, Gore would have needed to have already developed the eyes, meaning that this eye wasn’t undeveloped, it was removed. Whether it was destroyed by the frenzy or torn out by Gore itself, I’ll leave that up to you.

I like this idea. Gore, who up until this point had only seen the world with his sensors, is suddenly able to see out of one eye but due to irritation from the incomplete molt it begins tearing at its newly exposed organ. The sensation of pain is far more familiar than sight, to it at least.

@@Walter_MF_White I doubt it, mainly because Gore becomes Chaotic Gore in the general vicinity of a Shagaru. Gore doesn’t need to directly confront or even encounter a Shagaru for it to become Chaotic, and I doubt Shagaru cares enough to go track it down and fight it, let alone tear its eye out. Because all Chaotic Gores have the missing eye, it’s most likely not caused by a chance encounter that isn’t even guaranteed to remove the eye.

Funny thing is, that eye isn’t even a full eye. You’re incapable of flash banging chaotic gore, so chaotic gores are still blind. Except this time they’re in immense pain
