When i finally bit the bullet and came out as bi to my dad, i was so scared i was sobbing. He essentially responded with "ok, when do you work" i legit stopped crying just because out of all responses i was so confused out of that question instead of ANY questions relating to the convo. When i visited later in the week, he even asked if i wanted a coming out party and i cried again. When i came out to my mom, she went ballistic but i was so immune due to knowing i can move with my dad at any time. That night, i wasnt even able to sleep out of fear. Apparently, she called my dad and ALL 3 OF MY BROTHERS and all of them basically said "ok, and?" If i ever have kids in the future, (IN THIS ECONOMY???) im glad i was able to feel both sides to see how much of a difference supporting your kid actually makes. I wish i found your channel before then. Your channel has helped my mental health and helped me get through times i was at my worst. Thank you so much, OT. Today, after a therapy session and imbued by courage from some of these videos I sat down with them and discussed that I want to take the next steps and what that means, like not saying my deadname anymore. My mother immediatly spun a story about how hard that would be for her. Made it about herself. Both of them demanded that I justify my "decision" And while the worst case scenario of not getting kicked out was avoided, home still feels like a hostile place for me. Just wanted to express my thanks for giving me a place where I can feel part of a community that accepts me. I might be able to start HRT early next year. It has been a journey, my emotions have been haywire, my body is very receptive, and is already growing and changing. I feel more like myself than ever. I've started working on my voice and while not perfect, I can at the very least pass now, in a few places, on my good days. I have a partner now, who accepts me for who I am, who is willing to wait years for me for my surgery until I feel comfortable enough in my body. I could not be happier to have them. Dysphoria still kicks my ass on the bad days, when I wake up with a stubble. when I hear my dead name yelled across the house in anger. But I have people, friends, in my corner now. Who remind me that I am worth it, and who I am and who I want to be. Even if there are things that can still improve, I am probably in the best spot of my life that I have ever been in. The next step is to get out of this house, and into my own space. Where I can finally unfold the way I want to. Typing this out has been very healing, in a way. A reminder of the journey behind me, of the place I used to be in and where I am now. So, thank you again. Love, Agnes.

Speaking of black mold, if you have that shit, take it seriously. It’s toxic and can cause serious serious health issues. My brother had to dropout of school half way through his senior year because he couldn’t walk without assistance due to horrible brain fog, because our bathroom walls were infested with several types of toxic mold. He’s only now, two years later, about to finally finish high school through online classes so he doesn’t have to get a GED. I say all this because I see so many discount various kinds of mold, like black mold, as “harmless”. They are not. If your landlord refuses to do anything, document that paper trail, and sue. For your health and every innocent person after being slowly and unknowingly poisoned. Usually just the threat of legal action is enough to get there ass in gear, but if not, that’s why you keep documentation.
@Arkylie Жыл бұрын
I had reason to look into black mold recently and from the information I got (about some studies comparing mold varieties), it's actually *not* more toxic than other molds -- it's just that the people who are allergic to it are *VERY* allergic to it. Same thing with Quorn, a type of fake meat made from mushrooms that has mold as part of the production process: for most people it's fine, but for people whose first experience with Quorn is discovering they have a severe mold allergy, it's very much *not* a fun time for them. Hence, apparently, all the reviews for Quorn that are about how dangerous it is and how people should never try it -- it's like if peanut allergies were fairly rare and a few people had their first encounter with peanuts while eating a Reese's cup and started trying to tell people that Reese's would put them in the hospital. So while the mold is certainly not great to have in your home, and while you definitely want a level of air quality that isn't mostly mold spores, it's likely not as bad as it has been made out to be. Also, having recently looked up air quality testers (unrelated to mold), turns out they're like $70-100 and they'll tell you a lot of details about the components of air in your home (like percentage of oxygen, percentage of CO2, percentage of volatile chemicals, and whether or not you should be worried). Might be worth it for the peace of mind!

This was a tiny flight, and, while I had the isle seat, the arm rest was FIXED and the leg room basically non-existent. SO, I kept getting up alternatively to stretch my uncomfortable preggo body AND to escape arm rest guy! I finally gave him a look like I was going to eat his f'ing arm if it touched me again, and he FINALLY stopped. Times I wished I were a bigger a-hole! 24:30 honestly not sure how it's not illegal assault laws generally cover the act of giving someone a reasonable expectation if harm. That is exactly what's happening here. The operator is creating the impression that the ride is unsafe to be ridden, then forcing the riders to ride. example from the Washington Pattern Jury Instructions (WPIC 35.50): "[An assault is [also] an act[, with unlawful force,]done with the intent to create in another apprehension and fear of bodily injury, and which in fact creates in another a reasonable apprehension and imminent fear of bodily injury even though the actor did not actually intend to inflict bodily injury" [sic] Thrill rides are supposed to be a safe way to explore your body's fear response. making riders legitimately believe they are in danger is extremely wrong, and I hope some of these incidents start going to court so that it will stop.

Something that also helps (from a chaotic bi); checking the actual polled stats on how many actually do support LGBTQ rights, it's the overwhelming majority. The homophobic ones are just a very loud but very small minority. They know that they are vastly outweighed by the decent people, so they do as much saber-rattling as possible to make their numbers seem larger, because they know they're loosing. Also, if they text you that shit, that means that you have their phone number, so you can just text back stuff like gay porn to them. If you can get your hands on another known homophobe's phone to text back said gay porn to the first homophobe and follow it up with a text about "oops, buttdial, sorry" (to help fully set them against each other) then you get bonus points.
