It feels weird that i performed lots of lab work with my friends help without studying ch 7. And now this seems fun. I hope this chapter will be more fun as I discover more topics.

Sorry the quiz is only for my actual students at the time (not sure where I put it either). Please do work on past papers tho!

HAHAH I hated plants too...until university. Then I loved plants bcs they were less complex and it is ethically less questionable to work on. Ha.

at 6:14 (referring to vascular bundles) in all the micrographs, the bigger white circles towards the inside are phloem, and the slightly smaller structures facing outwards are the xylem, right? also at 10:11, could someone point out where the vascular bundle is in the top left micrograph please?
@behlogy8 ай бұрын
No, bigger white circles are xylem. Outside is phloem. At 10min something, the top left diagram has vascular bundle at its middle most right (but it's partially cut off by the diagonal line that makes up the grid)

It’s common terms that appear. You dont need to know it in detail. Just understand it briefly

why is xylem made up of parenchyma cells, shouldn't it be sclerenchyma because its made up of lignin?
@sofiapassos993011 ай бұрын
yea and aren't parenchyma cells alive? and xylem is dead cells?
@behlogy11 ай бұрын
So.....you dont exactly learn about all the details about xylem tissues. In xylem, there are parts that are alive, as well as ones that are dead. Some dead "tubes" , some not fully "tubes". Some have lignin bands (never fully lignified), some have none. All made of parenchyma cells.
