You didn't take the thermostat out to fit this tank? I'm wondering since mine doesn't look to fit without thermostat

Chaparral Motorsports yes but in order to fit the IMS tank perfectly you need to remove the thermostat located on the left side radiator hose. So I hear. I tried mine and the thermostat gets in the way or star bent. Let me know if you had any problems in the long run installing it without removing the thermostat. Thanks so much

Interesting Mike. We did not have any interference problems when doing our installation. This bike sold and our customer has brought it back for general service and there have been on issues with his IMS Tank. - Kyle

Thanks guys for the v.useful video... I have the same bike but with a kick starter... do you know if the IMS 3.2 gallon tank provides clearance for a kick starter? i.e does it have the same clearance as the OEM tank on the RHS

Yes, if the bike comes with a kicker, the tank will have a cut-out.
