The color of someone’s skin should not determine what they should or shouldn’t like. We are all individuals. The world would be a better place if we could just treat each other with respect and stop pushing the stereotypes. I don’t really listen to much country anymore but loved these beautiful ladies the first time I heard them. I love their sound and their videos. I live within an hour of their hometown so I’m honored to be a fan of local talent.

Why does this video, this song, put tears in my eyes? As a white gay guy who grew up in eastern Tennessee Appalachia my heart just overtakes me when I see black and white people in the South together as friends and neighbors. This is who we are in the South. I think most of us-black and white and everything else that we are-we know the history. We know how dark it was and where we came from and we know where we are now and we really do want to just be together and love one another and share what we have with each other. And from my swollen heart I thank these beautiful women for what they have already done and will do to bring us closer as people with music. Thank you for giving me three more people to love.

Well as a straight white 55 yr old man. I have to agree. Talent deserves respect. These young ladies are awesome. I grew up dirt poor classified as (white trash) but never had a racist thought growing up. Our closest neighbor was an elderly colored woman named miss grace. She was in her late 60's living alone in a shack. No worse than ours nor any better. I used to hunt coon,rabbit, squirrel, deer and ducks in the bottom lands behind our properties. That old woman used to have a pretty good size garden. She fed me the 1st opossum I'd ever eaten. Man se could cook. I used to stop by and visit her ever chance I got . If I was out hunting I'd swing by and drop her off a couple rabbits, squirrels or whatever I'd taken. In the summer time it'd be catfish, craw dads or bullfrogs. Which I already had field dressed or completely cleaned and she'd have me a mess of okra, or yellow squash. Or greenbeans. On the other side of her (keep in mind these was small farms 10 - 50 acers) there lived an old white man in his late 60's or mid 70's that was a bootlegger.. we was all friends to the extent that we was family we all looked out for each other. Just poor people that didn't know we was poor because life was great.

I'm super OG, white, southern (N FL) and 57 yrs old. My parents loved country music. The only black country voice I ever heard was, of course, the late, great Charlie Pride. I don't think anyone in my family circle thought anything about it other than the fact that he had a super voice and sound. Skip to years later, all the while mostly a white dominated field, just, I guess for reasons that are obvious. Here comes Darius Rucker and Kane Brown. Wonderful. I love them, but all men. Just today, somehow, I was lucky enough to somehow receive this incredible black female group in my YT feed. WOW!! Mind blown. I couldn't be more thrilled and proud for you girls, your hard work, perseverance and, of course, God-given gift of voice. 5AM and I just found y'all by accident. Best "accident" EVER. In my younger days country music was on my playlist. Back when there were vinyl albums (remember those?), I stood out, looking thru the stock because there weren't other Black ladies like myself singing and swaying to the music.
