@Shalonda Cooper I'm actually not a Christian anymore, but yeah I know that there are black, white Hispanic, Asian, etc churches but I think it's not always a bad thing. I chalk it up to culture and a bit of denominations. Black churches typically have a different way of running things just like the others. Comes down to tradition and just how much you like how they do things. Comfort zone

@Shalonda Cooper yeah I know the verses of how if you're in his hands that you can't be plucked out but I cried and cried until I couldn't cry anymore. I screamed and plead and begged for just a whisper of the holy ghost. I wanted it more than life itself. I put my life on the line for him and yet nothing. It may sound bad, but my dad kept me in church for 18 years and I went loyally. I sang, ushered, spoke, served, drummed and did whatever else the lord asked me to do. I evangelize I got out my comfort zone. I led by example. I wanted the holy spirit then I realized it probably wasn't coming. Was just an excuse for my dad to physically and emotionally and mentally abuse me and then say that he is doing what's best because he has the holy ghost. I wouldn't be punished if I had the holy ghost. I'm nothing without God and everything I do is futile without him. That's just the surface. It goes beyond my qualms with the doctrine itself.
