Thanks for the review! I just bought this guitar. Its my first baritone and it sounds crazy good through my rig. Solid-state amp and pedals. Crushing!

Dave Oakland I’ve been wanting a baritone for ages and this is definitely the best one on the market at this price point. What are you running it through?

I’m glad your review was not 100% limited to just the heavy stuff. Baritones are so capable of so many different styles and I’m afraid the fact they have become so associated with metal means they are not appreciated by a wider audience. Once you try one it gives you a whole new world to explore. I have a PRS 277 and love it.

Hey man, I can't believe this video doesn't have more views and likes. Its really well done. I was originally looking for a video on this guitar played clean but I stuck around because it's so informative and the music you write is so interesting. Thanks man!

CYGNETURE Sounds It’s hard to get views when you’re overweight with a monobrow, but I’m hoping with enough B-stock Architects riffs and colour correction, I can overcome this. Thanks for the kind words, I’m looking forward to putting more content out!

Haha aw man, don't be so hard on yourself! I hadn't even noticed the monobrow or weight. Anyway, Rabea Massad was heavy set so that doesn't matter when you're playing meticulous metal :) the riffs aren't b-stock, one mans trash is another mans treasure.

dude here is some quality content thank you for sharing the informations with us!!! just subbed btw as you said so 11-56 but bottom switched with an 72 so then its perfect for the architects tuning?

That’s right. The 11-56 covered the C# / Drop B element perfectly. Throwing out the 56 for the 72 (that I later switched to an 80) gave that Architects tuning the right level of tightness and clarity. For 2022, I’m trying to make some additional informative content regarding my approaches to production and mixing, to some extent. I’m likely to transpose all them Architects-tuning songs to Drop A on a standard 7 string and use the baritone for C Standard or something.

Always D Addario. For this tuning, it was 11-56+74

They’re such a bargain of a guitar. Chapman are pretty unbeatable when it comes to price-to-performance ratio.

@@feedthewolf6930 To be fair, the guitar world has improved in the last couple of years in terms of the availability of baritone guitars. When this came out, your only choice was this or the Ibanez RG baritone. Now you’ve got a great range from the G4M / Subzero 30” baritone, to the Solar 29” baritones, to ESP/ LTD essentially offering all their guitars in a baritone format. If you’re looking at this review in 2024 and beyond, you should definitely be checking out the Solar option.

I have the Nazgul Sentients on another guitar and they do not push volume as much as the ML1 Baritone stock pickups just saying. This guitar is LOUD

Agreed. I was quite surprised with the output. I really needed a tight ceramic bridge pick-up for my needs. The Nazgûl in my Mayones convinced me to go with that.
