Really a huge loss that this man couldn't bring his unique style to the island. I'm sure nobody in Japan has ever experienced a chunky man child obsessed with anime.

To answer Michael and Alex's discussion about blind jazz/blue musicians, a lot of blindness was due to malnutrition and lack of access to medicine, (in Blind Willy Johnson's case the consensus among biographers is that he was blinded by lye being splashed in his eyes) additionally, being blind limited the kind of jobs you could get, so being a street performer was a way to make money that didn't require eyesight

I’ve heard some of the cases of blindness can be attributed to bad moonshine (methanol) as well.

The idea of someone watching the Nostalgia Critic and finding it so funny that they fall out of their chair is pretty good on its own, I can't even imagine the level of dork who is into that. I assumed it had to be un-funny kids watching him or something! Speaking of Lindsay Ellis (I didn't watch her but I knew who she was), that night on Twitter where MovieBob tried to pretend he was good friends with her and then she shut it down and completely embarrassed him was so brutal. It was maybe the most embarrassing public thing I've seen on social media.

It's crazy to see a guy dressed up as batman screaming that someone should get the death penalty. Isn't the whole point of the character that he doesn't kill?

on the discussion of blind jazz and blues musicians: those genres were more accessible (compared to western classical, at least) to people from poorer and/or marginalised backgrounds, who were also more likely to experience vision loss (acquired and congenital) because of lack of access to adequate medical care. also, my personal theory: being able to read/look at sheet music is much less important in jazz than in, say, western classical music

I've made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgement and I don't expect to be forgiven. I'm simply here to apologize. So what we did in the stream chat was simply unplanned and the reactions you saw on stream were raw, they were unfiltered. None of us knew how to react or how to feel. I should have never said those things. I should have put the phone down, and stopped typing what i was thinking through. there were a lot of things I should have done differently, but I didn't, and for that from the bottom of my heart, I am sorry. I want to apologize to the viewers and subscribers, I want to apologize to anyone who's seen the things i said, I want to apologize to anyone who has been affected or touched by us. But, most importantly, I want to apologize to the victims. and my friends who are defending my actions, please don't, they do not deserve to be defended. The goal of my words is always to entertain, to push the boundaries, to be all inclusive and in the world I live in I share almost everything I do. The intent is never to be heartless, cruel, or malicious. Like I said, I made a huge mistake, I don't expect to be forgiven, I'm just here to apologize. I'm ashamed of myself. I'm disappointed in myself, and I promise to be better. I will be better, thank you.
