Hey mate, just wanted to say, from a fellow Hiker, I love watching your videos! You don’t waste words despite always berating yourself for talking; when I watch your videos, I’m interested in everything you’re calling out - like you’ve said before, it makes it feel like we’re with you on each adventure! I’m waiting on a full knee replacement at 45yrs of age, and I take enormous inspiration from your walks and routes. We use a lot of them to plan our own routes and some of the easier ones are still within my ability, so thank you! Keep up the good work, and hopefully I’ll see you on the fells one day. Be safe and stay happy! 🙏🏻😎

Good to have these back! Re. the mentions of views of Pike of Stickle - we stayed in Bassenthwaite village last year and I was amazed to be able to see it from the garden, had to get the map out to prove to myself that there was a sightline. On the Dodd descent, if you drop off the summit the same way as you went up, but then turn right instead of left when you hit the main track, there’s a good path around the southern side of the summit which ends up where you came out, but without the off piste stuff! 👍

We just returned home today from the Lakes and its lovely to come back and watch one of your videos and enjoy the views without the soggy socks. We're 104 in with our 8 year old and hoping to reach half way by the end of the year. Your videos are an inspiration .

Great to see the Wainwrights being resumed. Liking the variety of videos in recent months though. I remember going up Dodd on the day of the queens funeral, the views are incredible. Plenty of red squirrels in the forest as well, probably what you heard on the way down.

After largely ignoring the northern arc of the Northern Fells for the past 45 years, I've been ticking them off this year. (They're far more of a challenge now that I'm approaching 70). 😥 Hope to do the Uldale Fells this week and lose my Binsey, Dodd and Sale Fell virginity on the shorter travelling days. Thanks for the video Glenn. It's wet my appetite for later this week.

First of all, when you were talking about shoving your junk in our faces then showed the urinal in the toilets at Dodd Wood, I was thinking holy crap!!! 😂 As for Binsey and Dodd, you actually made my day! Did both of these amazing little summits in June and loved both, for the exact reason you did, those views! You really don't need to get high for fantastic views in the Lakes. As a fairly newbie to hiking, I've enjoyed the smaller Wainwright's to the bigger ones. So happy you're doing the Northern Fells now, feels like my territory finally 🙏

Sounds impressive when my wife and I mention we bumped into Chris Bonnington on a mountain a few years ago , when actually he was probably out for his afternoon stroll over Binsey that day ? It. was also our Grandson's first fell walk a year or so ago when he was five , well he ran much of the way up , ran round the top and ran down again . Living close to the Northern fells done Binsey several times , always think it affords a great remote view of the grander more famous Fells and as you showed the Solway .

Re subscriptions.... whenever I've mentioned it to friends (about this and other channels) they always ask, how much does it cost? Chiefly because everyone associates it with subscriptions to clubs, or magazines, which always cost. Methinks KZbin have made a mistake using the term 'subscribe' and maybe should use the term 'follow' like Facebook does, then it's not so ambiguous.
@Life-Outdoors-UK13 сағат бұрын
Its good to see a nice day. Your worst weather days are about my average days out. 😂 I think 50% of viewers being subscribers is better than most? I wouldn't be insulted if you replied to some comments and not to others. Thanks for your video.

Loved the video and all your recent (and not so recent content). Annoyed I skipped Dodd when I did my Skiddaw walk; but after Ullock pike ridge and Little Man, as you say, Dodd was just a little bit too much for one day. Just one small piece of feedback: I would have liked a couple more seconds on each frame on the 360 summit bits,

Did Binsey on maybe the most miserable day of the year - even for the lakes. i know it known for its views but we defo felt like it was a bit of an odd one with it being so easy to get to the top of. Got to the top and had about 30m visibiltiy but had to tick it off and you just never know with the lakes one minute you cant see out the next it blows through! Really love the 360, I liked the AR viewer on OS dont know why they got rid of it as Im rubbish at remembering names of peaks!

Hi Crag, idk about everyone else but I'd be really interested to hesr even more details about the gear. I mean I can see you're using the talon 33, but I'm not sure what jacket that is and the gloves. Just because I can see these things aren't on the gear list. Idk if others would be interested in this as well

I subscribed after the first two I watched. It's fascinating to see your beautiful countryside and I sure am glad (being here in the US) that you take the time to video and share with the rest of us. Come on KZbinrs. SUBSCRIBE to this channel. Well worth it. Seeing that trail going down hill; so narrow and not well used by humans. Would it be an animal trail perhaps? Take care out there and travel safe.
