Most Two wheeler Riders are Nuisance on the Road, they don't just put themselves in Danger but everyone else on the Road. They will not wear Helmet nor use proper Riding Gears or basic Shoes and ride like Snakes without following any rules, absolute Nuisance. I am also a Bike Rider but a Responsible Rider, I do long journeys on my Motorcycle and I am always extra careful especially on Highways, I always use Full Protection and proper Riding Gears.

If the driver thought he was in danger, then the rider would come under the driver car and the rider family would have to pay for the damages of the car. Just be glad you are alive and the driver didnt activate self defence.
