The left of is called the soft pedal which shifts the wires so that one one wire left for the hammer which creates a soft sound Idk the name of the middle one but pushing that one after hitting a chord puts those chords in exception so that they won't damp while the other keys would be the their normal state
@erwickdsouza4 жыл бұрын
That is true for my piano as well, but is this true for all pianos?
@parikshitmusic5104 жыл бұрын
Not an expert but for a grand piano... yes

Sustonuto, soft, sustain.. Soft pedal shifts the hammers sideways so they hit only one string Or two per note hence the soft sound.. Sustonuto pedal works when you play a note and while holding that note hold the sustonuto pedal and release the key this will only sustain that particular note while other notes will work normal

The problem with stretching the notes is you mess up the notation if that is ever going to be used. I think it's better to use a sustain pedal via controller and keep your music cleaner. Probably for most of your audience they are never intending to publish music notation but for the few that might it would be a better option. I've set some but with the bottom sustained note (similar to your example) as a whole note (whole bar) but reviewing Fur Elise and other pieces of music where the bottom note and more is sustained by the pedal, they simply note the first note as a crochet or quaver etc and leave it to the pedal. An additional benefit might be that many of the recent piano VST's is that they have additional sounds of the pedal noise to add to the realism that would be triggered by the same controller. But hey, your result sounds convincing. Subscribed.

SUre, but as I rarly play the keys that introduces more problems than it solves for me
@Fiveash-Art Жыл бұрын
@@erwickdsouza Yes, I was watching a video about programming realistic keys and he also used the sustain pedal option in automation I believe ... It seemed to be just as convenient a solution as dragging the keys out. It seemed to be just as easy of a process as what you also did with your tempo variations.

Great video but as a pianist that velocity going up and down linearly is not close to reality, when you play the piano the effort is concentrated alternately in the beats and in the accented notes, usually in the first and third beats, also in the video you were inspired by it was played a little robotically not very well
@erwickdsouza2 жыл бұрын
As a (meh) pianist myself, I agree. For the sake of brevity and simplicity, I kept the video concise and did not go into too much detail.

Nice brother It was good is it possible that we can replicate a standard Grand Piano sound in SYTRUS, not the one like in the preset. It may take very long for me to figure it out but it will take very less for you to do the same looking forward to it

To really nail the sound of the youtube video, I think all you needed to do was run your final through something like a concert hall reverb and probably maximus... :) ( otherwise, pretty &^%$ close... )
