Why would 4 point harnesses be necessary in a missile silo? If you're at the point where you would need the harness for safety... you're dead anyway.

I found this quite by accident; is there any further progress on this as a feature? Chilling stuff. It was interesting to see the parallels with this and the launch sequence at the beginning of _WarGames_ Mr. McCurdy if you happen to read this, are you familiar with the Frederick Wiseman documentary, _Missile_ ?

I confess ignorance when it comes to the history of this, so I'll confine my comments to the matter of the production: Just excellent. Everyone involved with this should feel a lot of pride. Where was this filmed? The set design, props, everything really looks good. The actors are all great! I'll definitely pick up the book when I have more time to read. Impressive and compelling.

As it says in the credits, this was shot on-location at Whiteman Air Force Base in the Oscar-01 Launch Control Center. It is now a museum but was operational when the story unfolded and was a duty station at which I served on occasion. Thanks for the kind comments. We wanted to "get it right" for the thousands of nuclear launch officers whose story has not been very accurately portrayed over time.

Thanks, mate. And thank you for your service in this high-stakes poker game we had to play for so long. Cross your fingers for funding for the feature.

Am I a psychopath for enjoying these scenario? All these procedures that have been created in order for the service men and women to do this job, but only do it within a narrow set of circumstances when authorized.
