2,000 kilometres from the Kazak capital Astana down to the mountains of southern Kazakhstan and into Kyrgystan. Wonderful combination of natural beauty, traditions and friendliness - punctuated by challenging roads and a hike which was a little bit harder than we expected. And finally a beautiful sunset on Issyk Kul - way to close down six months on the road.
