What is the difference between an Arahant and a Buddha?
@TheDhammaHub

A Buddha is a "self-awakened" Arahant. An Arahant reached liberation with the help of a Buddha or one who learned the Dhamma from him (via any degree of indirection)

Geography is an integral part of the Dhamma. Each sutta explains the place of preaching. Buddha did not preach geography in vain. We notice that the terrain and the pointers do not match with India, especially the Himalaya Mountains and the river Ganges. There is a book called 'The Stolen River, The Ganges of Paradise.'

And what does it mean for the dhamma?

@@kzantal To decouple a persona from the continual Samsaric tour (attain Nibbana), s/he has to be at the specified geographical location, attempt the process once and become successful.

@@kzantalPlease read English translation of Mahāparinibbāna Sutta, pargraph 95. 95.

My friend, would you not say that the Buddha is quite precise in his words, and does not leave out important information to our own guesses and inference? Why then, could you answer, would the Buddha not have simply included the importance of geography in the noble eightfold path? Rather, the Buddha says, "The Dhamma is well proclaimed by the Blessed One, visible here and now, immediately effective..." (MN 7). Here the Buddha seems to say the Dhamma is available to all, wherever they may be, "here and now, immediately effective...". The Buddha seems to say just that the Dhamma can be seen at any time, at any place, given that one has a mind that is ripe to see. In fact, the recognition of the quoted passage as true is said by the Buddha to be one of the indicators of stream entry, if one sees this for oneself. So, it must mean that any stream-enterer, at whatever place or time they find themselves, has this knowing: the Dhamma is visible here and now, and it is possible to see the Dhamma here and now - not there and then (at a specific place or time), not under a specific tree or lodging place. This is a constant recognition a stream-enterer maintains - wherever they go, "the Dhamma is visible here and now." What do you think of this?
