OMG I'm on my knees begging GC to make a whole anime series done in this style. It's a masterful work of art in ways unexplained. Would love if they could use the original English cast. They made me love Wukong's character even more from just the animations and 3D cutscenes alone.

So i got thiw cutscene aswell. So i got the true ending aswell. I heard if the old monkey place that headband on the destined one is considered a bad ending, as this repeats the whole story. The old monkey was working for the celestial and wants to continue to control the next wukong

"What does it matter if you become a Buddha? That headband has always been on your head." In the context of Erlang and Wukong's true relationship sounds more like Erlang reminding him "hey, no matter how powerful you get, you still need to break that headband off" rather than mocking Wukong. Iirc Wukong and Erlang have a brotherly relationship from their mutual hatred for the cruelty of the gods.
