Yes, your review is very accurate; especially the point about the grill loosing heat when opening the lid. What I do to fix this, if I am grilling something heavy, is that I put charcoal under the grate and turn the thing into an electric/charcoal grill. You will want to start the charcoal out of the grill first in one of those charcoal cans. It works perfectly. You can can Also chop a piece of wood, burn it in the charcoal can, and add it under the grate for extra aroma and flavor. I turn the thing into a hibachi grill by using that way. Try some Japanese hibachi recipes, you won't be disappointed. Of course, this size grill is for a family. It was not intended to be used to cook for a large crowd.

Like i mentioned you have to experiment with the grill to get the hang of grilling specific things because after all this grill is electric.

oh the connection of your jenky lowend daisy chain got hot when you pulled max volts thru it? whoa im schocked!

When i used 2 extention cords to operate the grill the first time yes the junction between the 2 cords was very hot. If you use 1 cord it does not get that bad.
