I started this Stronger Than You version about 6 months ago. I was intent on taking a new perspective on a different song. I've done Paps, Frisk, and two of Asriel (His Theme and Memories).
Chara is yet to be seen on my channel.
Until today.
I couldn't find an instrumental that fit this well enough until I was messing with FL Studio. Using the Cathedral reverb is addicting, and while I was singing scales and minor versions of songs I noticed just how much this song is more powerful when it's in silence.
After all, We did this. We played genocide. We emptied these halls.

I love this! It's amazing. People always go about saying the 'villain' of Undertale is Chara, but this just goes to show the truth: The PLAYER is the real villain. Figuring Chara is the narrator, possibly (not quite sure), imagine if you were just a peaceful child ghost hanging out in a patch of golden flowers and then this kid falls onto you and you're forced to follow them around and watch as they either befriend everyone you had cared about or went about killing them all. Eventually you'd just want it all to end. You've gotta feel for Chara.

I'm just saying that just because they are bad doesn't mean Chara is good. Back to the answer, if Frisk (the player) chooses to kill all monsters until some point, Chara is able to possess you. Meaning if your soul becomes evil it's easier for her to control it. She's not just a happy nice ghost that doesn't bother anyone, like the guy said. She's also evil, she knows it and she likes it.

I absolutely LOVE the fact that you didn't paint Chara as the ACTUAL antagonist, but also made it that they aren't completely good either. I mean, i DO support the "good Chara" theory, but at the same time i know that this child isn't NEARLY as innocent as people make them to be. Obviously they disliked humanity, so obviously something happened to them up there. Be it abuse, bullying, etc. I think they were broken to begin with, but not nearly as broken as they appear when they are in genocide. You literally made them watch as you struck every single one of their family members down. Just because of your "curiosity". This song perfectly understands Chara. Was fairly good, but not the most well behaved child, until they died, and their personality was almost completely wiped away, along with all their morals. They, being a child, are very influenceable, and so they follow your directions. However, they are a smart child (you’d probably have to be if you were them, because they had a hard time on the surface), and are completely aware of what you’re doing to them. That poor child, I really wish we could properly SAVE them.

Finally. This song. This is a good song. Chara is absolutely NOT innocent. Chara is a twisted little sucker, lets face it. But Frisk, (i consider frisk and the player the same person pls leave me alone) that child you run around as, absolutely isn't innocent either. The genocide run is a tragedy. You're the one who caused it, it is indeed your fault. But Chara had no rights to continue it. Chara had no rights to take away your happy ending as a punishment. Not because you deserve your happy ending, because you sure as damn hell don't if you did that run, but because the others do. Toriel, Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Asgore, everyone. (maybe not flowey he's kind of an asshat) They deserve to be free. Especially Sans, he's fed up with your and Chara's BS. You're the one who took it away the first time, but _Chara_ is the one who's keeping it from them now. Which is kind of a dick move. To put it simply, it is your fault. But it's also Chara's. Both of you are sickos. Now, in both of your defense: Chara is literally a child. Imagine having a childhood bad enough to throw yourself down a mountain, and then get you and your adopted brother killed while sharing one body. Definitely enough for at least a little PTSD already. Now, imagine waking up to see another child murdering all your friends and family. And you have to watch. I don't think the LOVE helps, either. Considering the way it works, it _basically_ turns you into a psychopath. Not YOU of course, since youre outside of the game, but it obviously must have effected Chara. So, yeah, dick move, you corrupted this kid. NOW IN Y O U R defense, youre probably just some rando who either thought it was a normal RPG where youre meant to farm XP by killing monsters, or you did it just to experience the feeling. Chara says about Toriel "Not worth talking to" anyway. Chara helps the Player kill his family starting with his mother. I don't think the path of genocide corrupts Chara. This is a soulless creature who was the last to remember the betrayal of a monster that was close to him. Betraying and killing both of them for the sake of HUMANS. For the sake of the village that made Chara hate humanity so much from the beginning. This monster resisted him, failed the plan, and killed them instead of the humans. Killed Chara for the humans. I'm sure that after this, the soulless creature will definitely not care about monsters at all. And he definitely wanted to be stronger than all his enemies (humanity) from the very beginning. So when the Player starts to seem to be aiming for power, Chara sees it and joins in. He helps the Player always as soon as the genocide begins. He has a purpose that the Player has shown. And on genocide, the monsters become enemies that stand in Chara's way to the absolute: * In my way. * Together, we eradicated the enemy and became strong. For this reason, he doesn't try to resist the Player in any way. So it's not corruption, but Chara's own choice and desire. Yes, the Player showed him the wrong way in terms of morals, but it was still Chara's own choice.

But it was also his plan to destroy this village and let the monsters rule the Surface alone. Without humanity and human threat. I'm very sure that Chara didn't think that peace with aggressive and disgusting humans was possible at all. The first war, according to the monsters, happened because humans were afraid of the power of monsters to absorb their souls and become beasts with incredible power. Even one human soul is enough for this. But it was very difficult for humans to absorb the souls of monsters because of their fast destruction, so this never happened. And Chara, who already had a hatred for humanity, found out about it. Do you think that if you were in his place, you would have decided to let the monsters be near humans, so that they would be afraid of something again and destroy the monsters completely? I'm not. If monsters want freedom, Chara might think they're naive if they think peace with a race like humans is possible. For this reason, he decided not to take into account the monsters' desire to free themselves in peace. For this reason, he needed incredible power and a way to maximize the chances of monsters facing humans. If you destroy a village, you can get not only six souls, but much more. And it will be a very good chance for monsters even against billions of humans. And he wanted to use full power against the village at once. But Asriel resisted.
