Hey there! 🌟 Welcome to my first attempt at character design and a simple amateur implementation in MUGEN! I must admit, I've been living under a rock and just discovered MUGEN a few weeks ago, so I might be a bit late to the party, but better late than never, right?
I'm really passionate about character animation, and for this project, I decided to create my own character using KungFu Man's animation set as a base. It was a challenge, but I enjoyed filling in the spots and replacing the basics.Last month, I crafted a 3D stage and rendered some 2D sprites to see how it would look. Now that 3D stages are a thing in IKEMEN, I thought, why not give it a shot? I explored light baking and glTF files in my workflow, and yes, it's possible! Although, I must confess, I haven't implemented it in the engine yet... because, well, I'm still figuring out how to! 😅
On average, it takes me about 5 days to bring a character to life and 3 days for a stage. It's a bit of a process, but I love every moment of it. With this being my first animation/render/junky setup, I plan to go back and fix things here and there, polishing it up to make it even better.
Now, let's talk about the concept! 🎮 The idea revolves around battling office colleagues, beating them up to climb the corporate ladder. It's a simple, mundane, and fun storyline that adds a unique twist to the typical fighting game narrative.
And hey, hope you enjoy the vibes of Queens of the Stone Age playing in the background! 🎸✨
