I know what you mean why does Sega have to be so sensitive about things like this they should really observe that many people actually do like Sally as a character in fact she is still to date my favourite female Sonic character despite not appearing in the games and she should below so why I prefer her as a love interest to Sonic than characters like Amy who's more of a prissy fangirl

One thing I quite liked about this show is definitely the relationship between Sonic and Sally since they seem like to completely different personalities Sonic is carefree laid-back cocky and arrogant while Sally is more of a strategist somewhat short tempered and more focused on the task in Hand of defeating Robotnik but I like that despite these differences they actually do love each other I mean sure throughout most of the seasons it seems more one-sided with Sonic being the one who has an open crush on her while Sally was the sort person that would hide her true feelings on the person who has a crush on her by denying that she likes him but it is hinted throughout the shows run that she actually does have the same feelings for him as was showing in the episode the race as she was actually really worried about Sonic and of course a few times where she thought Sonic was killed and of course the final episode where they embrace their feelings for one another I actually really like this because it actually does make sense when you watch blast to the past part 1 and 2 when it was revealed that the two we're actually best friends as children so I actually would make sense if they were close friends as children to actually develop attraction to one another as teenagers

I think the Game Apologist summarises their relationship perfectly and why Sally is a great character when used by an actually decent writer. Sonic is reckless, Sally is more careful. It's a great dynamic for storytelling but this is the foundation that people used to believe the two can't work out. Sure Archie comics demonstrated that with some poor writing. But the show and the comics displayed that despite their differences, they had respect for one another and knew either of them are capable on their own. But when they are together though they make each other shine. I think it makes sense for them to be paired because they are both strong personalities with a lot to offer, plus they've known one another since childhood and have been through plenty with each other. More than happy with what she's been a part of over the past nearly 30 years but would be great to see someone familiar like Sally ground Sonic here and there and have fun, sarcastic interactions

I wish they actually gave Sally some actual Dialogue in Sonic's Christmas blast because it wouldn't been nice to know a bit more about that version of Sally since that special took place in the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog universe plus I think she should have played a much larger role accompanying Sonic & Tails to the North Pole to defeat Robotnik

I had one of the most awkward dreams recently that Kath Soucie came into this store I was working at, approached me, and asked about some item we had in stock. I get all nervous and sweaty being around her, even though she's really sweet and nice, and even when I clear my throat and try to act and talk all hard and manly, she giggles says that I'm really cute.

This is the Sally everyone is familiar with. RotMB5: Sally greets Plucky, the pokemon trainers, the Sailor Scouts and the Tune Squad, however, there's a sense of sinisterness in her voice. She puts on some techno bracelets and tells them everyone betrayed her and lied to her, all because she had no powers, but that's okay, because she has a new power now. She opens her eyes, which now have black scleras and purple irises and the bracelets form beams of purple energy in the form of claws and with a psychotic grin she days she discovered the true power of evil. Plucky has Nicole analyze her and notice a microchip on her collarbone in the shape of the Maverick insignia. In a dark turn, as Sally uses both of her hands to choke the life out of Plucky, she is unaware that Plucky is preparing a surprise attack to end the battle. Using the Sword of Acorn he telepathically plunges it behind her right where the chip is. This action dislodges the chip, splitting it in half. It's dark because the sword pierced through both Sally and Plucky. However there is hope. At Knothole, Sally's injuries are patched up, but without the chip the Evil Energy in Sally's body will kill her. Daffy suggests they use positive energy to help Duo extract the Evil Energy in Sally, causing the mentioned groups, King Acorn and the Robot Masters to sing Heal the World by Michael Jackson. This gives Duo more than enough power to extract the Evil Energy and destroy it. Sally's heart begins beating and she is back to normal.

To be honest, I thought the whole thing about Sally being a princess was rather pointless. As in she doesn't need to be part of a monarchy nor any other position of power to be an important character (plus nothing about her design screams "princess" ). And (this one is a big controversial one) I prefer Sonic & Sally as comrades than a couple. They are just too opposite to be a couple, being tied down to monarchy would be too much Sonic to handle, and less what I said about the Archie comics the better.
