I keep listenting to it and it doesn't feel hype, instead it sounds menacing. Xiao is my absolute favourite character. I have simped for many others and i no longer main him but no one would ever come as close as him to my heart. I have adored him since the first time i saw him in the liyue archon quest two years ago. The lantern rite event made him permanently imprinted on my mind. I think "karmic binds" does not mean an actual thing, it means the death debt he has. "karmic binds" is represented as "black line" that ties hims in the animation. And he finally break free from those black lines = "be severed, karmic binds". Just my 2 penny!
