Perhaps it is not a problem for some but perhaps to talk about character is a bit ironic since David Brooks is now seeking a divorce.

Well ... you perhaps have a point but perhaps divorce for easy reasons or the wrong reasons isn't an indicator of character.

Rob de Roos divorce has nothing to do with character. If two people seek a divorce for whatever reason, it does not imply a weakness of character. It depends also on the circumstances around the divorce

I really liked David Brooks because i thought he was intelligent when i saw him on The Charlie Rose Show, I thought he was a Democrat but not. I noticed that he didn't have his wedding ring on but i thought maybe he forgot to wear it, etc., then i noticed on Friday's pbs Newshour that he was hiding his left hand often and then no ring for a long time so thought he was divorced and he said when asked by someone that yes he was divorced..waah lol. I think his teeth could be fixed up and he'd be more attractive.

Well, fine. We all know how much we should be virtous and less vicious but that is still not the answer to me. I think that these kind of speeches miss the core problem... Core problem: we still believe we are able to do Good! (be Saints, reach nirvana..call it as you want) frustrated by the fact that the more we know what is good more we do evil..we tried everything to forgive ourselves...try to believe there is no truth,no good, no evil...result is, hyperconnection and devastating solitude, more wars than ever, depression and moral deconstruction..death of society. What I think is this...the only logical, rational, philosophical and spiritual answer to this "thirst" of justice is Jesus Christ. We are the "problem" we want to solve! David Brooks is constantly quotating Saints...these people believed in Christ and Christ changed their hearts...solved their problem.."themselves". You cannot extract Jesús teaching and leave him behind...
